does sugar alcohols raise insulin levels and count as real sugar yes or no

I thought they still caused a small insulin spike?

They not the same a real sugar, but if something has sugar alcohols you certainitly should not treat them as a free food, they still have calories (2.4 per gram). BTW, some of them when consumed in even moderate amounts act as a hefty laxitive, beware!

well i was just wondering becaus im bulking and the protein plus bar has 9 grams of it so i guess ill get it them
