hi guys...
I had a quick question...
can any of you guys define what's one meal?

does a shake count as a meal?
you know how we're supposed to eat 5-6 meals per day, well... I was reading in a mag and they said a protein shake counts as a meal...

how about one glass of milk and a cookie? does that count as a meal?

or maybe just a fruit, is this meal?

Depends on what your goals are, cutting/ bulking a meal could be anything to be honest. aslong as you are getting the right cals for your goals then it doesnt matter

a meal is any source of food ingested during the same time period in the day.

How many meals isn't as important meeting your caloric requirements.

In other words eating just 1 apple can be considered a meal but if your only gonna eat 5 apples total in the day, thats not sufficient.

Take your total calories you are going to eat for the day, divide that by how many meals you plan on eating, then eat enough at each meal to fufill your daily requirements.

a mela is generally considered as eating 200 kcal or more in one sitting.

thats the dictionary term. even a cutting diet, people consume more than that. unless they eat 10 small peices of food a day when it may be less.

To ME, a meal is when I eat all three macronutrients in a sitting......if I eat just one or two, well I call that a snack.....
