Late in the evening when i get hungry , i eat a bowl a non fat soup my girlfriend makes for me.

Does that hurt my diet ? I trying to cut , not at a hard level.

It has all sort of vegetables in it , some small potatoes , some meatballs (small ones).

Response would be nice.

Thanks

If it's canned it probably has tons of sodium.

No its not canned.
My girlfriend makes it by herself with fresh vegetables.

So does this hurt ? Is sodium bad and why?

Yeah, I've been curious about the cons to sodium as well.

If its homemade than its probably ok.
The thing about sodium, well sodium absorbs water and makes you dehydrated. Not very desireable if you're taking creatine, at least in my opinion.
The sodium content in canned soup is pretty disguesting. The sodium content for any canned food is gonna be high to preserve the food.

If it's homemade soup and not too greasy, it's a great way to fill up your stomach and get your vegetables in.

And there are some pretty good less sodium/low sodium canned soups out there if you need something quick...Campbell's and Healthy Choice are two of the brands that come to mind.

While we're on the subject of soups, does anyone know if there's a logical reason why chicken broth always makes you feel better while your sick? Or is it just the warmth of it combined with a mental expectation of it making you feel better.
