Is eating one meal a week, that is what ever you crave ok, or would it slow you down too much in making progress? I eat very clean 6 meals a day 2.5-3 hours apart...7 days a week except one lunch a week.....what do you think?

not a prob - enjoy it

your results are based on consistency...and if you consistently eat clean, one meal ain't gonna kill ya'

I think it's good to splurge every once in awhile even 1 whole day rather than 1 whole meal a week. but 1 meal ya I would say it's ok seeing how 1 out of 42 meals would be a "cheat meal"

Well I know I will not go IFBB or anything, I will not juice to get there....I may one day try and do something local, but right now I am just wanting to get an overall conditioning.....

so why are you depriving yourself of a single good meal you like to eat?? Live a little. If you are training right and eating right most of the days, I would say its OK to eat a 1 or 2 cheat meals every week.

Cheating every now and then has been shown to have positive effects for some people. I've never heard of anyone who is serious having any negative effects from cheating a meal or two a week though I've met obsesively thin people who think that 1 potato chip adds a pound of fat. psycho's.

well I am not thin by any means.....I did hit the scales this morning I gained two pounds (219) , lost .75" around the navel and 1.75" on the waist in the last 2 weeks.......

you cheat on your boss daily. you cheat on your girl daily. why can you not have a cheat meal once out of 42 meals a week? Look at you? What has become of you?
Cheat responsibly and stay consistent with your diet and training. Run 2 extra miles the next day you cheat.

I think its great idea, mentally. Allows me to really follow my diet closely because I know that why should I cheat now when I can cheat on Fri. and Sat. night and have good food, of course those meals that are cheat meals are really like post-post-workout meals.

If you cheat every once in a while, you will be less apt to get to the point where you simply crave a cheat food and you go nuts and eat $hitty all day. In short, it helps keep you sane.
