Alright, on August 16th I head back to college and on the 19th I plan on starting a low carb diet.

Just in case ya'll don't know i'm 6'3", 217 lbs, 15-20% bf (who knows).

I figure I'll go with a 2,000 calorie diet consisting of 40% protein, 40% fat, and 20 % carbs. This comes up to 200 g protein, 88-89 g fat, and 100 g carbs.

I dunno, sounds simple, the hard part will be getting the fat, but will it work and if I happen to get more protein than fat some days is this gonna hurt me?

I'm not so much a genius when it comes to cutting :)

Looks good. It shouldn't matter if you get more protein, probably be good, hehe. Getting that much fat shouldn't be too hard...I just eat globs of peanut butter, haha.

Poor college student here, I'm gonna be livin off of tuna and cafeteria food :)

Go as low as possible with the carbs, it's not that hard just eat lots of meats and dairy stuff.

you don't think 100 carbs is low enough. I figure I'll prolly get 2 lbs a week fat loss, if I can hold that up for 8 weeks I should hit close to 200.

You'll probably find out that your fat intake is easy, especially if you are doing cafeteria foods.

Any particular reason you are going low carb?

cuz I wanna get my waist from 40" to 36" as quickly as possible, and low carb is all the rage :)

I dunno, the reasoning behind low carbs sounds logical.
