After some prodding from a fellow member :p I have decided to start a journal.

Here's a brief bio,

35yr
5'10"
160lb
34" waist
BF% Too much

Current goal is 150lb and 31" waist.

I started Feb 1st at 174lb and 38" waist. Got down to 157lb and 33.5 waist before sluffing off. I do want to add some size, but I have to get rid of the gut first. I plan to start bulking mid Sept. I want to make sure my eating stays clean while doing this. I am not lifting very intensly at the moment, focusing more on HIIT cardio. 40 to 50 mins, 4 to 6 times a week. Trying to have a caloric deficit of about 600 to 1000 cals per day. My biggest problem is controlling what I eat. I do ok on days I work out, but on off days my diet goes to crap. Well that's it in a nutshell. I'll post some before and after pics when I hit 150lb.

My diet consists of the following

Protein shakes (duh)
Eggs, usually scrabled
Lots of grilled chicken breasts
Canned tuna
Cottage cheese, getting harder to choke this stuff down though
Rice, brown or white
Apples & bananas

Right now I am trying to stay at about 1500cals per day with about 150g protein and 100g carbs.

Have you tried the Friendship Cottage Cheese with Pineapples in it? That's some really good stuff!

Any other brand of CoCheese makes me puke actually....

The only ones here are Dean's and Lady Lee. Out of these two I prefer Dean's.

Hmm...sounds like you're picking between rat poison and the roach motel. :)

CoCheese can be pretty nasty, and in NYC, it's really expensive to get the Friendship brand, but it's worth it.

ARRGGHHH! Sick again. Got hit with another allergy attack after pulling weeds. This has been the worst summer for me and allergies. So due to this and other circumstances I have worked out maybe 10 times in the last 2 months. I also seem to have a hard time eating properly when I don't work out. Got on the treadmil this morning for 20min. Wanted to go to 40 but lungs wouldn't cooperate. Was able to do chest/tri/laterals though. Just needed a little longer rest between sets. Tomorrow will do back/bi/rear delt + treadmil.

158lb 34" waist. Diets been good, workouts steady. Was confused on my cardio. I was doing interval training not HIIT. Gonna start with HIIT tomorrow morning and see if it speeds up the fat burning. I really want to start a bulk cycle but I have to get rid of this belly first. Again the goal is 150lb and then bulk clean. I would rather be skinny with abs showing than bulk up with a gut.

Hmmm, this morning was 159lb with 33 3/4 waist. So that's +1lb and -1/4inch from waist. Not really the direction I was anticipating but as long as there is a loss around my waist all is good. This morning was chest/tri/mid shoulder, no cardio, ran out of time. Tomorrow will be back/bi/reat delt and HIIT cardio after work out. Have done HIIT twice now for 9 min each time. Maybe that's what helped with the 1/4" loss around my waist but I need to give it more time to be sure. I really like HIIT better than 30 to 40 min of cardio, just hoping the results are equal to or better than long sessions of cardio. Diet was ok during the the weekend days, but Sat and Sun night was kind of a wash. Pizza and then left over pizza. Yesterday was very clean. Today is just starting.
