basically just want to know if grits is good as oatmeal nutritionally... is it complex and low gi?
oatmeal is way better and not just because it has a lower GI. grits are derived from corn which has very little nutritional value, especailly for a bodybuilder...

i'd go with the oats. corn is def not a bodybuilders friend. well perhaps if he's bulking.

Just curious: What's wrong with corn?
the majority of the carbs are high GI sugars and corn is not readily digested by humans...the majority of it passes through the digetive system undigested...so there isn't much of a point eating it

don't you have to add something into grits just to make them edible? maybe that's why those restaurants down South add butter or fried catfish into them.
