View Full Version : I gained 12lbs in 7-8 weeks

I went from 180-182 to 192-194lbs in the last 7 to 8 weeks.

I'm 5'9" and have been training properly for 4 months in total
100% Lifetime natural as well.

goal is to hit 220 by Christmas :)

some hst? sounds like results from hst or beginners gain. that or you are a genetic freak! lol sounds good dude.

Thanks, well I can thank my dad for my legs, they're always naturally bigger than the rest of me, and they grow without much doing :)

But my biceps are a different thing altogether :cry:

hey blitz, looking good and some gr8 weight gain there aswell, keep it up:)

when you hit 220 at christmas, how do you feel your cutting will be, are you intimidated by future cutting phases?

I'll then shred up with interval sprints. My diet is pretty good now, I eat every 2-3 hours, and I'm not really gaining any fat, waist has stayed around the +- 1/2 inch side for the last 4 months

About the Bicep thing, one thing I noticed is that most of my muscles have fairly good fibre length, except my biceps and forearms which have a longer tendon, ie less actual muscle area. My biceps would have a good peak if I ever get them big enough and me lean enough, in a Franco Columbo sorta way. But because they are short, they'll never be Arnold/Sergio like :)

I can see a prominant peak in the mirror, but it doesn't seem to come across in photos though :(
Right now my calves are an inch bigger than my arms...but my arms are growing faster than my calves thank goodness :D

My wrist is 6.75 BTW

Well I actually have a very small waist, but that's also where I store most of my fat, so right now its at 33 inches. When I'm lean its about 29 inches and 27 or so when I'm shredded :)

Yeah, he used HST combined with some other stuff. Here's a thread over at the HST forums covering what he did:

Pretty much standard periodization fare.....the 3 week modified HST cycle served as a "concentrated loading," allowing a better adaptation to the strength/power training occuring during the period of delayed training effect.

As for the idea laid out of doing 6-week HST cycle followed by a 6-week strength/power routine, I think that would be excellent. The period of the DTE lasts roughly the period of the concentrated loading, so you'd quite possible obtain quite lucrative gains.

I'm tha same dude, my legs have really gotten bigger, but my bis just lag so badly...

actually my biceps are not too bad now, they are coming along, its just that my arms were much smaller than the rest of me to start off with, but they are catching up.

And my biceps do require me to be lean so that you can see the whole thing. There is this kink on the bottom of the bicep under the peak like Boyer Coes or Robby Robinson's, and you can't see it unless I'm lean, and so when I'm fatter it makes the biceps look smaller than they actually are because you can't see that extra bottom 1/3 of it, thus making the Triceps look proportionally larger than my Biceps :(
