My MRI story: I took a couple of capsules of hydrocodone, went to the radiologist, and took a ten minute nap whilst they were scanning my heel.

Pain was gone for a few moments until after I got back into the apartment.

Well, had a great weekend actually.

Saturday we planned our vacation...In September we are going to Negril, Jamaica. :D:D:D:D:D Time to kick the sessions into overdrive. Gootta look good in my vacation pictures. ;)

We also bought a couple cieling fans and two air conditioners and installed them. It's getting hot here already.

Sunday was spent at the walk for hunger. 20 miles. Damn. It was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. My feet are all ****ed up now, but my knee felt great the entire walk, and doesn't hurt at all today. I had a blood blister on my left heel that was about 4 inchesx2 inches, and stuck out about a quarter inch from my foot. Man!! That thing EXPLODED when I popped it, blood went all over! I got a crazy sunburn, I was dehydrated, and I slept for like 10 hours! Not sure what I'll be doing tonight for weight, I may even take a day off and start tomorrow.

Took yesterday off as I had planned. Slept a lot, ate little, and what I did eat came out very quick. :(

No breakfast yet this morning, as I anticipate the same thing.

Odd thing: I've felt "run down", but not sick, since the walk. When I eat, I am full after a few bites, and those few bites don't stay in too long. I've been MAD tired, occasional headaches. Don't know what's going on. I look forward to my back and tri session tonight. I'll try to get my diet back on track...I need to eat!

Hey man - whats going on??

Why are you hacking into your cell for? Speaking up cells ive dropped mine so many times it sounds like a baby rattle - still works though, although it does have a tendancy to shut off for no reason. I just got insurance on it yesterday, the US Cellular sales rep had to see my phone before she added the insurance. So she took the battery out, checked the connections, looked over the phone, then she shook the phone. I thought i was done because earlier that day i dropped it getting out of my car which created a couple extra rattles in the phone, but when she shook the phone it was silent. So now I have insurance!! I think the rattle has something to do with the battery. I dunno.

Just thought I would share.

Well, back from my appointment. Kinda good news. The misincus(sp) is fine. The cartlidge that sits between the upper and lower leg is not. There appears to be a piece loose/something; it's jagged. I forgot the medical words that he used. There were also some spots that looked like they could be the start of arthritis. You could still see quite a bit of fluid in there too.

He told me to continue with my normal routine, except that I can't do anything like basketball for a while....nothing stop and go, start and stop kinda stuff. And worst of all, he said that I shouldn't perform full squats. He said if I insists on squatting that I have to do *shudder* partial rep squats.

Basically keep doing my normal routines aside from the specified "no-no's" and see what happens/how I feel. If it persists or gets worse, or I feel like it needs to be done, than he'll scope it and clean things up. I have been getting "twinges" as well just walking, where it feels like it's going to give out sometimes....he also said if that keeps up or gets more frequent to call him.

Soooooo, in short, I don't need surgery;yet.

Sucks about the squats man :(

Are there any other leg exercises that you have to stay away from: extensions, curls, leg press, etc.?

Not to be begative, but: I doubt this will go away. I mean if there is some loose cartlidge floating around i doubt it will go away. So do you have the option to go under the knife? Maybe it will set you back a while, but after the PT I would think you could go back to being damn close to 100%.

Good luck with everything bro.

I know the leg extensions and leg press have made my legs feel better. I have a partially torn meniscus and bad artritis in both knees.

Glad you dont need surgery bro. I am doing the same thing just waiting for it to act up again then will probably need the same type of thing that you do. Mine have been pretty pretty good though lately. I go to like parallel for squats but not past and they have felt stronger then ever before.

Dedicated- I have no trouble sleeping, after I finally get to bed. My problem is, I don't get home from working out until ~7:30PM, then by the time I eat, shower, read, pretty soon I'll be doing homework. Before ya know it, it's 11:00PM. I wake up at 3:45AM to be to work at 4:30AM.

JrMint- I weigh much more than you. ;) Yeah, I'm gonna take it easy on the knee for a bit.

d00d, that sucks about your knee. Since I've messed up my back, the doctor told me I can't do squats OR deadlifts... for the rest of my life.

Diet looks really good. Are you cutting, bulking, or just maintaining right now? I see the green tea and eph so I assume cutting?

Also are rolled oats = quaker oats? I just started eating quaker oats again, I just make it with water and put splenda on it, really good that way.

LUDE- Yeah...I'm not going to torture myself. I try to make my meals taste good. It's actually not bad at all, use lean beef, and the only carbs are in the veggies.

Tank- I can't say anything about the M1T yet, I have only taken it for two days, today is the third. I am taking it in hopes of at least maintaining, and probably gaining LBM while on this cut. If all goes well, I may run another cycle on my next bulk.

eric- Thanks bro. She eats pretty much the same macros. Obviously not the same quantities...She'll take Smart One's for luch occasionally, etc..So it's not exactly the same as mine.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifIf itís not one thing itís a muther****in other!! Last set of shrugs, and crunch, I hear something in my neck. For those that have followed my journal from the beginning may remember I kept pinching a nerve or something during shoulder sessions, mainly with the lateral raises. I stopped as soon as I felt it coming on, but it was too late. It hurts to turn my head to the right. Anyways, rant over.

I havenít done military presses in agesÖ.as is evident by the weights used, but they felt great. I will keep doing these. I continued with my session after the nerve incident, but I had to stop after 1 set of rear delt raises. This is NOT going to slow me down. I donít care if I wake up tomorrow and canít turn my head at all. I always use stuff like this as an excuse to feel sorry for myself and it spirals downward from there. I will do my chest and bi session tomorrow, no ifs, ands, or buts!! I know itís only been three real days being REALLY back into it and focused, but Iím feeling great and Iím not gonna let that go.

I find I tweak something in my neck or trap quite often when doing shrugs. It may be that I do them a day after deadlifts sometimes, and my traps are probably still recovering. Just give it time and it'll go away. Probably best not to do any shrugs for a week or so.

My shoulders would get cranky after BB shrugs so I stopped doing them. I just recently started doing DB shrugs and have no problems. The only thing I can see is getting DBs heavy enough for you.

I've never had accupuncture, but I used to go to a chinese doctor for accupressure and herbalist. he used a lot of rubs out of herbs. I really belive in that sort of stuff so i think it works. On the other hand I think Chiroprachtors are nothing but scammers, but that just my opinion of them

twcolabear- I have heard good stuff about acupunture, I have also heard good stuff about hiropractor. I may give them both a shot.

Beast- I never had any issues gripping the barbell eaither, so I'm not sure. I switched to the trapbar because I was tired of squishisng my balls with the bar. I don't have grip issues with either. On my heaviest sets I use straps though, not that I think my grip would fail, but just so I make sure to target the muscles.

Not too much to update from this weekend. I didn't lift at all. Diet was clean, but not enough cals on either day. I look forward to the week, jus because I have a set time for everything as far as meals and stuff go.

We went to look at puppies this weekend. Heather fell in love with an 8 week old Cairn Terrier. :swear: We haven't made any decisions yet.

In training related news.......I'm up 5 pounds and down approximately 2% BF. That puts me at 305lbs, ~15%BF.

I was pretty suprised, cuz judging by the mirror I was expecting to be down in weight. I'll take it though. I think I'm going to be doing cardio every day now, only 2 miles on training days. Back and tri's tonight.

soba- I'd love to, but I have condo with not a lot of yard space. :(

eric- Thanks bro. The neck felt alright. I could definately feel the strain a little bit, but it wasn't too bad. It's still not 100%, I can still feel it when I turn my head far right.

Beast- Those pups were actually a mixed breed, not sure what they were. They were already adopted when we arrived, so our search is still ongoing.

Edgar- :) That is with the calipers, so that's around a 3%error margin, so I may be more like 17-18% though. All I know is the pinches went down and I gained pounds, so I'm happy!

cphafner- I'll be happy at 320, 10%. :D:D

Those are great body composition changes. Nice work. The weight increase may primarily be due to water. Creatine and PH can both increase water balance. Dietary changes can also have a significant effect.

Why don't you pick an alternative cardio, joto? You're gonna have evil knee problems...moreso than before. Don't jotify your legs. Otherwise you look strong...for a joto. :p

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifmixta- Thanks! I appreciate the support!

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifecjoto-The only other option that I have aside from walking/running is my recumbant bike, and when it's that nice outside, I despise being trapped inside on the bike. I have a regular bike as well, but there is no decent place around where I live to bike. I may look into getting an elliptical machine to reduce impact on my knees, but then the problem comes with my height. I don't think I could get on an elliptical machine without hitting my head on the ceiling. :( Being tall ain't always great.....

Stop being a joto, and do dips yourself. Then you won't have that pet peeve!! ;)

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifEdgar- My knee was a bit "iffy" yesterday, but I think that may have had something to do with trying to run earlier in the day. No sides from the m1t thus far....no lethargy, acne, no testicular atrophy....so far so good.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifDedicated- LOL. You musta seen the pics before I blacked out my face. I looked like I was on crack or something...that's why I looked different. Oh, and the fact that I'm 30lbs heavier!:p

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifJasonl- Thanks bro.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifEdgar- haha. Not exactly a tan..:p

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifwibble- Thanks bro. The grass is always greener on the other side. If you had my metabolism you'd be a fatty and have trouble losing...like me! ;)

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifSoba- LOL. I'll never be that big, mainly cuz I have no desire. Teh wheels will be shown in the final pics.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifBeast- hah. This was an unplanned "tanning" :D

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifpruneman- :) Thanks bro.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.giferic- Thanks bro. The color will be coming off soon I'm afraid, in the form of peels! :(

Well, the weekend I didn't lift, thanks to this hellish burn that I got. I am now blistery on my neck and shoulders. Not sure what I'm going to do for a workout tonight, but I will get in the gym.

Diet has been on point today...weekend was low in cals again. BF remains unchanged from last week, but I'm up to 308.5lbs. I need to make sure to keep doing my cardio so I don't become even more of an uber fatty!

Oh, I'll probably be posting much less from work. There were 5 people from my company that got laid off...two that work for me, one being my truck driver. So I have to pick up that slack whenever it is needed, which basically means I can't sit on my ass and :spam: the boards all day any more. :( Probably a good thing anyways...

heh, your one sunburnt mutha

and big too, you got a lot thicker since the last pics, being @300 must have something to do with that......now I see why you get 4 scoops of whey and I still only get 2 scoops per serving LOL

nice work bro', damn you did that with ony 3000+ calories?

Hey Justin...I've been curious for a while as to what 6 scoops of whey comes out to in grams. For every protein I have ever used, 1 scoop = ~20g protein. 6 scoops at that value would be ~120g of whey protein. I know that your cutting and i find it difficult to believe that 120g of whey would fit your nutritional needs for a PWO shake so i was wondering what one scoop equals.
BTW that was quite an inspiring shoulder session. :strong:

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifCoCoa-The issue has not cleared, I am just VERY aware of my body now, and any indication that I am about to pinch the nerve, I stop.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.giferic-Thanks bro, I'll try.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifAnthony-Thanks bro, appreciate it. I really thought I'd have had more on the 225 set..

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.giffuzz-I can only dream of that. :)

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifpruneman-Good to see ya back here. You are correct, that 120g of whey is what my PWO shake is. I don't get enough real food in me, so I overcompensate here. It may be overkill, but it hasn't hurt me thus far.

http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifWell, I just peeled off my scalp basically. It kinda hurts. My head was flaking so bad, I just decided to take the razor to it. So all my red/brown burned skin was peeled off. Now I have a bright pink/white head, with a dark face. Well, a half dark face....some of the drk on my forehead came off too. Wooooo. :)

Not much to report tonight. Just did cardio. I gotta go cook the rest of my meals for the week, then I'm gonna hit the sack early.

Oh... a guy in the office today pulled me aside. He said "Don't you think I haven't noticed you put on about 20lbs." "Did you change up your diet?" ME: "Why, do I look fat?" HIM: "No, you look huge!" :D w00t!!

Haha. I love shaving the burn off. Only part I dont like is how sensitive it makes my scalp. It burns in the shower if I get it all burnt and what not. FYI, if it dries up on you - I like to use Aussie Moist shampoo.
