http://www.gifs.cc/red1ac.gifMy lower back is fuXor3d again. I didn't quite throw it out, as I was very concious going into this session that I may have a problem. I am calling for an appointment today. It limited my squats to start, I had plenty left in my legs, but the back was getting tight early on. I made sure to warm up properly, and stretch. Then on the Deadlifts, forget it. I finished most of my session, but it just got too painful towards the end. I think that until I find out what the issue is, I am going to not deadlift or squat. I'll go back to the leg press and hypers. :rolleyes:

Other than that, the session felt good. I was sweating buckets! I skipped cardio as well today.

I came to the realization yesterday, that if I get hit on the drivers side of the Navajo (winter car for wifey) when I am driving, I will likely lose my leg. :eek: Tight fit in there!! And my feet are so ****ing big, there's not a lot of room to operate the clutch. :p

Anyways, got my second upper body session today, hopefully it goes well, although I'm supposed to do push presses.

What are everyone's thoughts on a belt?

I used to use a belt religously every squat/ dead session. I stopped using it about a month ago. Back feels a lot better so far. I will probaly still use a belt when I go into the 400 range <deads> next week. I do still use one on heavy front squats also.

Good call on dropping squats/deads until you figure out what's wrong. You can cause some serious damage with those. Nice session, regardless. Where do you feel the side lunges most?

I am going to try Beast's method and do crunches before my back workout. My lower back cramps up whjenever I run on a treadmill for somereason. Last night I went the full 20 full tilt and I felt great.

I get that same lower back stuff from excessive time on the ellipticals & treadmills too!

Squats and Dl's in the same workout are intense. I've never used a belt personally, but with the weight you move, it might be a worthwhile investment.

LOL I had the same problem with my own mini MP3 player

I was like "Who the hell has an arm small enough to fit in this damn thing" and then "hey... it makes my arm look a more vascular from the pressure... but... oooh, it hurts getitoffgetitoffgetitoff"

I had to resort to a fanny pack :-/

*I made the HUGE mistake of thinking that my hack squat weight would be similar to the power squats. Kept 7PPS on, went down, came back up and thought, **** tat felt heavy. Went down for #2 and no way, didn't even try to bring it back up. Looked pretty funny, 6'5 squeezing myself out from under about a 3' opening....I also tweaked my back again due to this stupid move.

My sleep issues are weird, even when I get to bed early, around 9PM, I lay in bed awake until 10:30ish. I don't get it, I just can't fall asleep. I however had no problem napping for 1.5 hours today before the gym. ANy thoughts?

Oh, donkey calf raises are done with straight legs, but bent over at waist. There's a machine for them. If your gym doesn't have one, then I'd just use another calf raise. Probably straight-legged would be closer, but it's a minor detail in the grand scheme of things.

Another breakthrough, which will mean nothing to most of you meatheads cuz you already have them, I got my first stretch mark between my pec and delt!! :clap: I have PLENTY on my legs, but this is the first ever on my upper body. (Except for the oneís from my fat stomach) I almost shed a tear. ;)

I really feel like Iím making progress. Getting leaner, having much better sessions, not missing sessionsÖÖ.. Now I just need to get my diet 100% on weekends and Iím golden. But to tell the truth, that doesnít even bother me TOO much, as I am good all week.

Well yíall, since everything else seems to be coming together, Iím gonna try to get this sleep thing settled as well. Iíll holla at yíall in the morning.

I also think you need to be more careful with your knee and stop all cardio...and I hear ice cream and pizza are really good to help your joints heal and recover rapidly. Oh yeah...and eat more. :p

I had planned to take this week off from the gym (part of the program), but seeing as I did not lift most of last week I'll be starting stage 2 on Tuesday. I will also have to change my workout days as my classes are moving from Monday/Wednesday to Tuesday/Thursday.

Diet has been good all week.....

I was an ******* last night and got KFC. My brain was ****ing fried after class. The math that I am in is a continuation of part one, and I took part one back in Fall '97!! :eek: God Damn me if I didn't forget every ****ing formula I ever learned. I'm ****ed.

Anyways, so yeah I ate like 4 pcs of extra crispy with a couple fat loaded biscuits, some potato wedges, and a whole tub of cole slaw. All beacause I'm a ****ing lazy ******* that didn't want to cook.

I happen to be in the same town already (having dinner at mom's) and I get his voicemail. So I show up at his mom's house and say trick ot treat. God it feels so good to see people you haven't seen in almost 2 years. (his family). I walked into the house, and I just happened to have on a cutoff shirt. His two sisters are like "OH MY GOD, YOU GOT HUGE!!!!" They gave me a hug and then proceeded to start feeling my biceps and stuff. lol. Good stuff, I felt teh hug30rzzzz!!!! But then his mom said I am "old looking". "You look like a man now!" lol

Anyways, so we ended up picking up my other best friend and hitting the town. I ate crappy chinese food and drank a few beers and some other ****. I'm operating on about 2 and a half hours of sleep right now. *yawn* I need more coffee.

So...I have no food in the house either, because Heather and I were planning on grocery shoping last night, but we went out instead. I also have my trig homework to do today/tonight....hopefully I can do it today at work. I am back to a full staff this week, so I should be back to my normal routine of spamming WBB and doing homework! :p
