What are your opnions on consuming almost pure protein, such as steak, chicken, etc, as opposed to any carbs? Will this aid in increased muscle gain, as opposed fat gain which is brought on by inactivity after your workout?

Read up. Without carbs and with a slow release protein you're not doing much good.

animal proteins take WAY to long to digest and you will certainly miss the anabolic window.

Use whey protein(s) for post workout.

just drink a glass of oj w/ your pure protien meal. it'll spike your insulin level to help get the protien nutrutients to you muscles quicker.

Hmmm, I have a 22g protein bar during/after my workout, then have a 50g protein steak about an hour after working out. Should I not do it like this?

take the shake immediately after a workout and save the protein bar for another meal during the day........ after the shake u wait abomut 30min to an hour later and then u can eat some animal protein...
