This sounded dumb to me, but a freind in the gym said he got better pumps and could squeeze a extra rep or two using painkillers before workout.
Any one know about this?
dumb is an understatement....

Nope, It's true. Painkillers can enhance your workout alot, the problem is, is that most are highly addictive, and you feel so good on them, you don't notice the downward effects, as in a strain, or over extending, or even if you act kind clutsy, which in turn can get you or someone else hurt. Yeah, they work, and you'll feel great, but it not the wisest choice to get ya pumped before going to the gym.
Take care, Bigbubz

It is a well-known fact that NSAIDs, like aspirin, greatly inhibit protein synthesis. You're shooting yourself in the foot if you take them before your workout.

Unless you seriously have some sort of medical need for them, they are pointless and dangerous.

If you need to take a pain killer to have a productive training session it's quite obvious the person has chosen the wrong sport to participate in...
