Hi! I was wondering, well I been shunning abs for quite awhile and last month I've given them a night of the week, I can see my abs decently but I want to see them alot more.

I make sure each meal I get atleast 30-40g of protein and 50 carbs, BUT I dont pay attention to the fat intake though. Until recently I been drinking alot of 2% milk, and when I counted that up in a day, it was alot of unnecessary fat, so I'm switching to Skim.

I was wondering how much fat is too much in a daily diet? I'm not trying for that paper thin skinned look for bodybuilding contests, I want to keep the smooth look but still have some cut abs. Which is where I'm at, but would like to get just a little cutter. Any help would be appreciated!!

A reasonable range to aim for is 0.5 to 1.0 grams per kg of body weight per day. The healthiest fats are from plants (except coconut oil) and fish. One trap to avoid is hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated plant fats and oils, because hydrogenation turns the good unsaturated fatty acids into unhealthy saturated and trans fatty acids.

I take in like .25g-.35g of fat per pound of bodyweight per day.

Hmm thats very doable, Im doing most of that already. I can handle 150g of fat then a day? I dont know if I even get that much.. Maybe I do, I'm going to start counting! Thanks alot for your replys!

Amateur,

How much do you weigh? I think your math might be off.

Ugh, I saw .5 to 1.0 and I don't know why but I figured it was ibs.

Had to re-read it and see it was kg {^_^}.

I was gonna say.. I'm about 205 right now.

Okay I'm going to keep to 10g of fat and under per meal.

Although when I looked at the cheese slices on my sandwich, those two lil slices combined was 8g alone! Bah. Gonna have to get some diet cheese or something.

Better yet, don't eat cheese at all.

-whines- Noooooo..

Well each slice is 4g of protein, so thats 8g just for a topping alone. If I can get some good diet cheese with 2g or less I'm set! Hooray for diet cheese!
