I found some ALA for damned cheap over here (http://www.americannutrition.com/Natures_Purest/natures_purest.htm) but I don't know if they're any good. I just ordered a ton of the stuff from anabolical (http://www.anabolical.com) so I won't be needing any for a while, but I'm curious to see if that other place is any good. That's damned cheap.

Is it r-ALA? I know anabolic fitness sells r-ALA, supposed to be better.

r-ALA may be better, but it also costs a helluva lot.

I ordered some stuff from American a while back, they're pretty reliable.
And that ALA, its a 60 day supply for thirty bucks, its not a bad deal.

How much would shipping cost to Canada if I were to order some ALA from your site?
Tadger...the first site (american nutrition) is where I get my ALA from. It is of good quality

LAM, that's where I was going to order at first. Now I see this guys site is cheaper.
What to do?
I don't know, that second site looks a little hookey to me. Personally I am very leary about ordering supps from small sites...

I've read a bunch of people used anabolical before with success (from another board). I wouldn't be afraid.
I'd be more afraid about all of this negative crap that is being said about racemic (s-)ALA. Is there any truth, Lord? Shed your light upon me!

Try to look at boards that aren't moderated by people with vested interest in R-ALA. I think there is a stick at the top of bb.com (supplement section) about it. I don't think there is really enough feedback to make an outright claim of 1 being better than the other. The cost factor should come into play as well.
I've used both the racemix and the R-ALA. The racemix I need to take 1800mg a day to see the same effect as 300-400mg a day of the R-ALA. If you look at the cost, it's about the same. A month supply of the R at that dose will cost around the same as the racemix. No doubt the R is more potent, but cost wise you don't have to limit yourself to it.

Yah, using just the R enantiomer of ALA, you would probably only need about half the dosage you'd need of racemic ALA. So the prices even out in the end I guess you can say.
