I coulda swore it says solid white tuna fish on the outside of starfish... but it seems now 90% of the time that I open a can up its anything from light pink to hard chunks of dark pink with fish scales attached... its really pissing me off too. I didnt have a problem with this when I started eating tuna fish a couple months ago but the last 2 packs of 12 I have bought from costco have ******* sucked and I can barely stomach the ****.
So is tuna fish suppose to be hard dark pink chunks or is it suppose to be a kinda soft flaky off white color...

it varies, from light grey - light pink.
try switching brands or eat it with something like salad

Depends on what part of the tuna it's from. Albacore is the more expensive kind, so it's from a better part of the tuna, usually more white. Chunk Light is less expensive and from a worse part of the tuna, generally more darker looking. Think of it in terms of steak...not all part of the cow are the same color looking, etc...

the tuna should be a lighter color, some pieces can be darker pink
get either chicken of the sea or starkist, they always seem the right color to me
