Wow i just read where your 17 :omg: Thats freaking amazing!!!! When I was 17 I just started lifting I was like 230lbs and had like 20+% bodyfat. Awesome work man!!!!!!!!

Sinep - When I competed I was only 159 at prejudging and 171 that night at the show, I'm 5'10. The thread is probably back in training, the contest was July 13th, so it's around there.

Just saw your pictures... you look alot smaller in your contest pics (probably cause you lost muscle along the way of dieting). Well done anyhow, your show reminds me of my own I did last sept '01... like you I lost to a guy who's father feeds him dbol in his cereals every morning , his gyno was insane... not complaining though , he deserved his win and I was natural so hey... make a search for 'road to ripness' in the journal section, there are pictures.

Chase, you look great man. Getting some good size, staying pretty lean. :) But have you gotten your bodyfat checked? You shot up pretty quickly, and I can see ~10-15 pounds of that being lean mass (glycogen, muscle, etc.), but I would bet a good 5-10 pounds of fat have already been added around the midsection, and your most anabolic days have already passed.

Not to take away from where you're going, I think your progress is outstanding. :) But I'm guessing you didn't post your pics to get endless pats on the back, that's for amatures. Careful with the bulking is all I gotta say. I know you said you don't care how fat you get, but....if you're going to stay natty, it's VERY hard to maintain muscle during extended dieting, and that's what's going to have to happen if you hit 20% bodyfat.

I checked our your pictures, you looked great. And it's tough competely naturally in non-natural competitions.

I was actually a lot smaller, I really lost virtually no muscle. I began dieting at 188, and was right around 170 before depleting water. My bodyfat was over 10 percent at 188 I believe.

listen to wise belial on this, sound advice.. Gary Bartlett (writter for musclemag) once told me the key to maintaning weight during contest preperation is to stay lean year round. I've done the fat bulk experiment before... you look like ****, you feel like **** and you lose it all once you diet down.

I've learned the hard way. I'm slowly looking to drop my bodyfat.
But I overbulked and I ended up big but pudgy as well.

Once my wedding comes up I'm gonna drop down to 9% and hover around 10-12% when I bulk next year.

Your legs are great, really great potensial to be freaky, the same thing is with my arms, at 17 years and 18.3 inches pumped,I am quite happy with them.

18.3 is damn big. That's funny because all today some coworkers and I were giving my training partner and another coworker **** about his arms all day long. He got mega pissed because we told him they were small. We ended up measuring them at 18.75 cold, and I stretched the tape tight. He's only 8 percent bf, so I guess I'll have to find something else to make fun of.

By arbitrary definition only.

It's like saying the pecs, lat, or delts are part of the arm. One could argue the delts are, but few would say the lats of pecs are. Yet their primary actions are to manipulate the upper arm. The glute's primary purpose is hip extension, it does not act on the knee joint. See my point?

I must disagree my good friend...as the glutes are attached to the leg as the bicep is attached to the arm...the pec and lat is connected to the torso...by your definition, you could say the penis is part of the leg...pfft

I've got to ask this though, is that natural? Any supplementation? If it's natural, I really admire you. You must have trained like a bull to get there. Man, I don't know what to say, I can hardly believe that someone of your age can actually get to that size.

I was force fed the 'you shouldn't train till you're at least 19 years old when your body starts to mature into manhood, then your body can take it'. I shoulda ignored em.

edit - I've printed your picture. When I train I'm gonna stick that to my wall and all that i'm gonna do is blast the living crap out of my exercise. I've got 10 years to make up for. :mad:

No, my friend, the glutes are not. The glutes articulate the joint that attaches the limb to the trunk. Biceps, hamstrings, triceps, etc. articulate both the trunk-limb joint and the joint in the middle of the limb. The glutes actually attach to the sacrum, coccyx, and posterior part of the iliac crest, far higher up and closer to the midline than, say, the hamstrings. It's actually surprising how similar the glutes are to the lats, in many ways. (Only upside-down, and on the other end of the torso.)

I think you misread my statement wrong, because my definition would say nothing of the sort.

Heh, thanks for all the praise. And I can assure you this, I am natural. Only supplementation I ever got into was glutamine, but I primarily use it precontest. Otherwise just normal supplementation of whey and other proteins and such.
