well I'd say between 1-10 tablespoons/ day depending on how much fat you get from other sources

or, use enough to help meet your fat intake needs, whichever sounds more appitizing :-) I use about 1.5 - 2 TBSP per day, mainly to cook my eggs in the morning

olive oil only contains Omega 6 fatty acids you need to get Omega 3's from another source like flax or hemp...

try to get at least 25% of your cals (minimum) from fat... of those calories 33% monounsaturated (omega-9), 33% polyunsaturated (omega 6, 3... with a 2-3:1 ratio of o-6 to o-3), and the other 33% from saturated fat (animal meat, etc...). Found this in a very long and detailed article at the weighttrainer.net.... and those recommendations were the basic conclusions for optimal health, hormone advantages, and growth/recovery.

hemp oil has a better ratio of omega's than flax. Hemp is 1:3 (3 to 6) and flax is 1:4 ( 3 to 6)...

I'm been using hemp oil for about 5 years and have taken about 4-5 urinalysis in that time frame and of course I passed all of them...urinalysis do not only check for the presence of THC metabolites but they check for a certain level in ppm.

That level which causes a positive test can only be achieved by direct inhalation of marijuana...

but what about the trace amounts (even though they wont cause a fail to a drug test, which I did not mean to imply btw..) causing other problems... THC is bad stuff in general, of course we are all prolly exposed to other stuff everyday in higher amounts but just don't know about it....

We (meaning people in general) are exposed to trace amounts of all sorts of toxic substances and carcinogens especially if you live in a big city with poor air quality.

There are just some things that you shouldn’t worry about...

true, and I agree. I honestly have not researched hemp and THC enough. I just don't like the idea of purposly adding even trace amounts of THC to my diet, even if there would be no problems/negative affects (as there prolly aren't.. ) :)

I don't know what kind of flax u are referring to :)

mine has the following EFA breakdown:

"Health From The Sun FLAX LIQUID GOLD is a delicious long-lasting certified organic flax seed oil. It is certified organic by OCIA and supplies the following fatty acids per serving:
Alpha-Linolenic Acid (omega-3) 7,700 mg
Linoleic Acid (omega-6) 2,170 mg
Oleic Acid (omega-9) 2,240 mg "

That is more like a 3.5:1 ratio of n-3 to n-6 fattyacids..... not a 1:3. I'm assuming you just put those backwards, I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything.

Ok, maybe I'm confused about saturated fats (in reference to consuming 33% of fats from saturated fats...in nightops post). Aren't saturated fats supposed to be useless?

On a 2500 cal a day intake, that would be around 31 grams of saturated fat.

Whats the use of the saturated fat?
