I have started doing cardio tuesdays and thursdays on my off days for lifting, but am curious as to what you feel is best in terms of eating after cardio.

Should the same approach be taken as with lifting? For most of us this means high carb and high protein as soon as possible after the workout, but I was wondering if this is good for cardio days as well, or if carbs should be cut back.

I'd treat moderate-high intensity cardio like a weight training session for post-workout nutrition. Depending on the length of time of the cardio session, your muscle glycogen will be depleted enough to benefit from a glycogen/insulin spike.

I usually eat some type of fruit, and cottage cheese.
