(edited) You should, in my opinion, be at the emergency room right now.

My apologies, but holy geeze did that post gross me out. I figured it'd be another thread about floaters, not crashing and bleeding out.

if you're talking about the same thing I've had "floaters", its just little bits of distortion that float around in your eye and occasionally drift across your vision
basically, IIRC it's leftover tissue that used to hold on your cornea or somesuch from when you were a little fetus and when you develop into a baby, the tissue disintegrates... in some people the disintegration is less than complete, resulting in "floaties" in your vision as the bits float around inside your eye.
it's not a big deal, as I understand it
Floaters are no big deal exactly. Unless u notice them increasing in frequency or numbers(in which case see yr Ophthalmologist). What they basically are, are remnants of your hyloid artery. This vessel nourished the developing lens in yr eye. Before we are born it disintergrates as its no longer required. So some bits of it remain and are primary cause of 'floaters'. They are no cause for concern.
Older people can get floaters for different reasons, usually the jelly in the back section of the eye ageing.
