can you lose muscle if your eating 300+ grams of protein and 30grams of fat aprox and your calories are a lil lower than maitnance or do you really have to go far below to start using up muscle...
actually to better ask the question
how easily does the body use up muscle tissue

You can always lose muscle when dieting, the only thing you can hope for is to minimize it. Carbs are key to keeping it on.

Actually, weight training is.
You keep shifting heavy-ass weights and your body is gonna realise it needs the muscle for the next possible 'attack'.
Training with heavy-ass weights is quite traumatic for the body for the most part.
Puttn, eat more fat you pleb. 30g a day for anyone except for a midget is ridiculous.

carbs are very important if you want to retain muscle. You have to have enough carbs so that your body won't convert protein into glucose for energy. I agree with The Chicken Daddy, eat more fat.

ok i can up the fat easily... but for the carbs.. im already getting around 2800 cals aproximately... how low on carbs each day before im not getting enough like is 200 grams of carbs sufficient?
