Is it normal for a skinny guy geting a belly when bulking. I never had one, and I think it might be geting too big. Should I do more ab crunches or is it just the none digested food and water?

I'll post a pick tommorow, since it sdamn too late right now...

All the crunches in the world won't burn the fat off the belly. How clean is your bulk? What kind of foods are you putting down your gullet? Some fat gain while bulking is expected. The goal is to keep it at a minimum.

just lower your cals a bit you may be consuming a lil too many... just adjust and re-evaluate

if your gaining over 2lbs a week, your probably eating too much.

booster,

I'm having the same problem. I am thin and toned all over, but then you get to my belly (which is where the fat has been going!)...I also need to know what needs to be done...

and yes, another skinny fat guy here...:)

i am a classic skinny fat guy... the only way to do it is to eat as cleanly as possible, eat a lot but don't go overboard (no more than +500 cals a day) and take the belly for now. it will be so much easier and you will look a lot better if you get big and then burn the fat. have to be patient.

Might want to add in some fat like Shao-Lin hinted. Throw in some natty PB or get some oil in your diet. (flax/fish oil two good choices)

Day A:

280 cal-2 banans
400 cal- 3 pck. oats
200 cal-PB with bread
16o cal-snapple
150 cal- 8oz. milk
200 cal-chicken breast
420 cal-eggs (5)
600 cal- foot long sub club
240 cal-protein (50g) shake
110 cal-Oj
350 cal- can of dark red kiddney beans
300 cal-16oz. milk
120 cal-yogurt
------------------------Cal. 3,690/ Protein- around 200 g

This is a sample of my daily diet for the last two weeks. With an average of 3,400-3900 cal a day with 180 to 200g protien. This is not in order in which I eat it in, but you get the idea...Everyday I replace an item like the Subway for Hash Browns so as to not get tired of it. I do eat tuna (one can a day), but not latly since all I have is oil based tuna which I dont like and haven't had a chance to get some this week.

Your carb and fat intake are just as important as protein if you could post those too.

your diet is good if your cutting. IMO

IF your not full your not eating enough. I was your size for awhile and i started eating everything pizza, burgers, fries, and lots of stuff. MAinly burgers and yams b/c they're easy and fast to cook. I also eat like 6-8 times a day. You are hardgainers, don't be afraid of a little belly it will make you stronger for the time being.

con't

A pro bodybuilder will tell you that you are not as strong as your normally are when you cut your bodyfat. (See the new muscle mag and the article about the new mr. olympia, the picture where he is squating) When i was cutting my bench was very weak 185lbs and now that i'm bulking i bench 245lbs. Hooge difference. Trust me, you want that belly to help pack on some muscle. I too was skepticle and scared about looking like a pregnant rail. You must have the didication to reach your goals.

Thanks a lot guys for all the info..

I guess I'll keep on bulking it up, my goal is 165 lbs. then the cuting will start.

P.S. As for the extra belly power, I have been benching 20 lbs. more since last month when I wasn't bulking!

The milk is fine but I would try to find something else besides hash brown (oatmeal is excellent choice). Hash brown are too high on the GI index in my opinion. You are bulking so it really won't make that much of a difference.

Dude, you don't have a belly, you just have bad posture.

Yeah your right, I'm such a little bitch. I went to the Gym today and I can still the six pack without flexing. I must of wrote this when I was full of grub. Before this, I had a rock hard six pack since all I did was sit ups + plus I was about 130 lbs so the enhanced the picture.

So far so good, each week I'm increasing my load and gaining weight. Thanks for the help guys!

PS- Any tips on how to improve my posture? :(

yeah, sit up straight.

Acutually...imagine there's a string tied to the center of your chest and someones pulling it, making your shoulders go back a little bit.

When you're standing, stand up straight, even if it feels like your chest is poking out. Stand up straight, so that your chest is poking out, and then relax a little. That should be your stance.

You have to practice.
