i have been taking my creatine with powerade, this contains multidexterin and sucrose, but no glucose or dextrose.

what i wanna know is if this is ok to take with creatine instead of glucose and dextrose, and whats the point of havetoing to take glucose and dextrose with it.

glucose = dextrose. Same thing.

Maltodextrin = glucose molecules joined together.


Sucrose (table sugar) = glucose and fructose joined together.

So yes, you are getting glucose.


Using maltodextrin is fine.

The idea behind taking creatine with glucose (or malto, whatever you like) is to illicit an insulin response to increase creatine uptake.

You don't need to take creatine with carbs though.
