Alot of times I don't have time to cook and eat.
I've been making weight gainer and using that as my meal replacement lately.
Would I be better off using a meal replacement like MET X (I think that's how you spell it) Or kust keep using weight gainer?
I'm trying to gain mass too.

If gaining weioght is the concern, then i guess they're OK. Nutricionaly wise, they're a bunch of sugary crap with some protein. By using these regularly your chance of developing diabetes increases big time, and according to recent research your lifespan might be reduced due to chronic elevated insulin levels. I'd leave them to right before and post workout were they're needed and plan your life so you have time to cook and eat.

Are you talking about the weight gainer being bad for me or the meal replacements?

MRP's are great to use as supplements to get protein if you are having a hard time getting all your meals in the form of good solid food. I usually use 2 a day (morning and night). Some brands I like are Ultramet (Champion I believe), and yes Met-Rx is good. Lot of folks like the EAS MRP's too.

I have never done weight gainers so I'll let someone else comment on them. NLarge2 seems to be big though.

Weight gainers are pretty much MRP's. Protein + loads of sugar.

I was talking about relying on sugar as a mean to get a significant percentage of your calories troughout the day. Not a wise choice, in what concerns health.

Just keep them for pre/post workout. The rest of the time, don't be lazy and cook proper food.

I'd never take weight gainers except N-large post workout.

Regarding MRPs and protein powders, I use them constantly. I also eat real food constantly, but that gets very expensive and very filling very fast.

I would use a MRP over weight gainers. Most MRP's are glycemically acceptable while most weight gainers are not...

I'm goin with LAM on that one; go for a good MRP like Prolab's Lean Mass Matrix. Its got slow and fast absorbing proteins, great complex carbs, and it tastes like real food.

and it tastes like real food.
I'm gonna object to that.
Define real food.
Different food different tastes.

Mrp's serve a purpose, but nothing beats real food.:D :D
