This is just a theory of mine i though id share..........anyways....i think that the gnc gold card is a scam....i was in there the other day....and u can get for example....biotest methoxy7 for 84.99 and 76.99 with the gold card....then i stopped in at another supplement place...and they were selling the exact same thing for only 74.99..without any special card or coupon or whatever...and this was the same idea for most of the other supplements i compared.........anyone agree with my theory?

GNC itself is a scam
rule #1 of bb: Do not shop at GNC

The only purpose you would have the card is when they have their own products on promo where you can buy one and get the other for half price.
This saves you money on things like their multis, or protein or other expensive stuff like glutamine.

It's just like any other store. Someone will always have it for cheaper.

I agree with El Pietro, the only thing GNC is good for is when you are purchasing their own line of products. All other brands can usually be found online much cheaper.
I think GNC is awesome (at least at a few franchise stores in MN). I have searched online several times and I have never found better prices when you take into account shipping and the Gold Card.
The Franchise Stores often run additional specials. For example, EAS was an additional 20% at the franchise stores but was regular priced at the company owned stores.

...i dont know where or how hard u were searching online....but i can garentee u that there are cheaper online stores then GNC.....

Name a product, dk11. If it isn't GNC brand, I can probably show you where it's cheaper.

lol. Scam? The scandal here was you not checking the guy's math. $84.99, with gold card (20% off) is $68. Why you paid $9 more is beyond me.
btw, I've seen the books. Between employee payroll, rent, stocking the shelves, etc, GNC isn't making out as well as you'd think. Any brick and mortar store is hard pressed to compete with online vendors. Yes, I agree 100%, you can get almost everything at GNC cheaper online. (except the GNC brands... buy one get one 50% off is pretty nice). But before you bad mouth the company, it's a business like any other.
Yes I work there. Yes, I used to dislike it. But it has its purpose, and anybody bad mouthing it can kiss my oversized ass.

Yeah, well where I live the only supplement store here is GNC so when I need something right away and I can't wait to order it the Gold Card work awesome for me.

15% tax?????? lmao. Damn, that sucks dude. :) Down here it's pretty much a third of that. (btw, the other store selling it for $74.99 would have that 15% on top of it as well)
DL- "I need to buy size 38" pants just so my butt and quads will fit in them" oversized.

For your oversized ass see if your store does fat burners.!
In response to Shao-lin.
Here is an example from this month,
Box of EAS Myoplex packages (I think a 24 or 36 pack) which lists for $73. The GNC store had it discounted 40% to $43. Add the gold card discount and it became $34.
Also, online I worry about the dating. I remember once when I was looking for Designer Protein online. I noticed that all the online discounters were probably selling older stocks of product because the packaging had changed on the product and all the online stores had older packaging.

Is that true?

Where is it located. I have been looking for it. I am in london as well and I can't find it listed on the website.
Also I have a Question for Memphis. Do you use Biotest and would you recommend it. Have you seen an increase in lean muscle as it claims. Thanks

damn When I here you guys talk about the prices of supp's from the places you buy them it makes me cringe. I livein nor-cal and we got a few places called "the vitamin adventure" God Damn are they cheap andd they carry every brand and every product. I get a kilo of glutamine from champion nutrition for $34from there, at GNC its $96...this place also price matches any online site ...so You really cant beat it. You guys should look for one around you.

Well I was out of multi-vitamins and needed more. I remember shoppping around last time, and realized that for what they contain GNC Ultra Mega Gold are the most potent and best vitamins I could get. Since I'm a bit bigger than average, I realize I may need more vits than average, so these are great, and the price is comparable to any other store
So I went in today, and the price was almost $40 for 90 caps, or $62 for 180 caps. A gnc card is $10 and it saves you 20%. On top of this, I can get a second bottle for 70% off. So in the end, I spent more than I intended, $90, but I got 360 caps of probably the best multi out there. That works out to $0.25 per cap, so if you want to compare your vitamin then you can tell me that it's stupid to never walk into a gnc. GNC is generally higher priced, but on some things you can save a lot of money.
Oh and don't try comparing your flintstone brand multis or something...first problem will be finding a multi as good, and second I doubt you could get it for as good a price. So, not that I'm a fan of GNC, just for those of you who look at it like the devil owns it...try again.

o.k folks.
Xenedrine with the gold card this month is 23.99.
I think that is a good price.
Where else can you find better. If you name a online place please add shipping before you say it's only 19.99 at www.blah.com

Oh come on Wolfman! I thought you were the posterboy for GNC! Just kidding. Yeah it's not the cheapest but like people been sayin' its good for their own brand name stuff. Personally I like the Multi's. I got two bottles of 120 for like $40 and it is good stuff!!! AND it is better than the other crap in this town!
