If your bulking i'd be a good meal I suppose. I usually eat 2 footlongs on friday, as that is my cheat day. I usually get a cold cut trio and something else.

I go there about everyday for lunch. I usually get the ham and turkey. But I don't think I have found a sandwich I didn't like in there. BTW, I was pissed when our subway stopped serving the jalapeno cheese bread. That **** was pretty good, but I think I was the only person that bought it.

I have found that the viniagarette club and the chicken teriyaki subs have the highest protein content, plus they are low in fat. I would definitely skip on the hearty italian and the cold cuts. Too much fat and not the good kind to boot.

yeah deli meat is not a good source of protein, but I eat it on my cheat day. I'm cool like that :D

best thing subway did was introduce those salads. . . meat and veggies with no bread = good lean meal

I love Subway, i have so many sub cards that are filled, I can eat their free for a month. I found it a little expensive so, I decided to go with deli sandwiches they have their. In Canada they are $2.50 compared to a 6 inch sub which is $5.00. For the difference in price you can buy 2 and it would end up being bigger then a 6 inch. Is it t rue that Subways Turkey and Roastbeef are not good sources of protein? What I also like about Subway is that the vegatables you put on help you get them in, where I usualy didnt.

If you want actual nutritional data from subway, check their website. They have a fairly complete chart there.

I eat the hell out of Subway.

Usually get either the 12" meatball or tuna (two if I'm really hungry).

Great place but I avoid alot of the mixed meat coldcuts.

When I worked there everyone I know would eat the meatballs out of the metal bin with their fingers (like at the end of the night when we're sticking them in the fridge for the next day) so I stay away from the meatballs also.

ok.....here we go

6" chicken teriyaki 370 cal, 5g fat, 26g protein, 59g carbs
6" vinaigerette club 350 cal, 6g fat, 24g protein, 53g carbs

compared to:

6" tuna 450 cal, 22g fat, 20g protein, 46g carbs
6" cold cut 440 cal, 21g fat, 21g protein, 47g carbs

you do the math.....

more calories if you add cheese I believe, not to mention the sodium content in some of those sandwiches

But isn't the white bread a bad thing, I assume you all eat wheat bread sandwiches.

I wouldn't call it a bad thing, just higher on the GI which can cause more of an increase in insulin. I doubt that Subway uses whole wheat flour anyway, probably more along the lines of processed wheat flour.
