Let's say someone is cutting and is going to be at a 250-500 calorie defecit per day. When they refeed once a week, how much above maintenance should they go? 500 calories? 1000? What will fire up the metabolism again? Thanks!

If someone has a low carb diet, that means like some vegetables and maybe 2 slices of whole grain bread a day as pretty much the only sources of carbs, does that person still have to have a refeed once a week?
If so, what is the maximum amount of carbs one can have and still require a refeed once a week?

The refeed isnt about carbs...

Refeeds are about replenishing levels of leptin in the body so your body thinks you aren't starving yourself and you don't plateu on fat loss in a nutshell.

I've found that eating roughly maintenance calories worked well. Could be different for other people.
As far as low carb goes, I'd say do the same but up your carbs (maintenance with carbs). If nothing else, at least you'll be able to go to the toilet without as much problem :)
As far as the article goes, I don't give him that much leeway on it because I've read his other articles and he doesn't do his research.
Just as one example:
look at which animals are the leanest we see the carnivores i.e. Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs, Leopards, Panthers even Crocodiles being very lean and athletic / powerful. Hmm, so how about the grizzly bear, antelope, gazelle, deer, most fish, etc, etc, etc.
Body fat is more a result of life style of the animal and food/safety needs than of diet.

Im doing CKD and I chose to do a 24 hour carbup, I usually go nuts on that day =P Luckily it doesnt seem to hurt me
