View Full Version : Changing body composition while eating at maintenance?
If you eat clean at maintenance level, and work out, can you gain muscle and lose fat, or do you have to do bulk/cut cycles? Thanks.

It will happen without a doubt but you will probably reach a plateau eventually.

if you are a beginner with eating a clean diet, then you probably will see noticeable muscle gain/fat loss simoultaneously. If your more experienced, like Hemants said, it will happen but very slowly and you will hit a plateau eventually.

What can you do when you hit a plateau?
Currently I am trying to bulk up going 20X for calories so I can gain and then I am going to cut again. I think that it may help get past the plateau, but will I hit the same plateau or will i reach my goal.

Take a week off, change up your routine, change up your diet.
