Can't go wrong with them. Just bake them in the oven like a potato, top them with saigon cinnamon and equal, and voila, instant goodness. 10 oz (raw) of sweet pot = approx 70 g carbs.

You might also pick up some beans. They are an excellent low GI food and also contain good amounts of protien and fiber. Sweet potatos are my favorite though.
Black beans, salad, broccoli.

- yams/sweet potatoes. the others here have it right; this is the carb of the gods
- some wild rice to throw in with the brown rice next time you go back to brown
- steamed collard greens
- steamed broccoli
- steamed asparagus
- steamed green/string beans,
- stirfried baby bok choy with bean sprouts and lemon (and a bit of sesame oil if you don't mind the fat)

I could never get tires of brown rice, but I do sometime put salsa over everthing and it taste even better. The only side dish I eat besides B. rice are carrots, green beans and water water water.

i had a sweet potato last night, it was great.
I also bought some broccoli, but I was wondering about the melted cheese part. Do they sell melted cheese for broccoli or do i have to melt some myself?
