I am calling my journal the war zone because I read one of the most inspiring articles at www.abcbodybuilding.com the other day called X-Ray vision part II, go over to their site and click on magazine and go to November. Talked about how you should treat your gym and preparing your mind for your workout and a whole bunch of other stuff. I go to this site for the forums and the articles, and I go to abc, I check their articles once a month and they are the best I have ever read. They know their stuff.

I lift in my basement but I can lift at school but I hate it their becuase I can't get serous and everyone plays around. I love lifting in my basement. Plus I can write in my journal there a lot eaiser.

I am going to be going on a cut soon even though I am already skinny, the reason is I need to wrestle 140 and im like 150.

11/2-11/30- Period 1- Cutting and Strength

The last couple weeks I have been doing low reps from like 1-5 but the exercises feel weird and like I don't ahve control so im going to go back to my old training way where I put on the most strength with mostly using a 212 tempo and 4-8 reps, but instead of progressing in weight I am going to do heavy sets first.

My goals by 11/30 are to:

bench: 135x10, 145x6, 185x1
squat: 185x6, 200x4
SLDL: 155x4 WITH GOOD FORM
deadlift: 185x1, 205x1
jerk: 135x1
clean: 135x1
chins: 15xbw
bb curl: 95x4
close grip bench- 115x4


My routine:
I want to hit each muscle every 5 days
day 1: legs bi and grip/forearms
day 2: chest calves
day 3: back shoulders and abs

notes:

Didn't do legs or grip, my left knee is swollen and sore I guess from the soccer game, the right side of my lower back has been killing me the last two days and yesterday I played through it in the game and this mourning I am paying for it. Im going to go ice both of them and hope I can do my back workout and my leg workout next time :( I was happy that I could do 85x4, can't wait to do 95x4.

whats the next weight class at??? might as well wrestle at 160!!! dont cut down to 140, that wouldnt be as fun

Freshman year I cut 25, last year I cut 17, I can handle 10.... I wish I could go 160 though!

A lady came up to my line in shoprite today, today was my last day becuase of wrestling, and she didn't have any food and asked me to be a model for her agency and said she can see me tommorow at 4 at this meeting thing at a hotel about 20 min away from my house. She said I had good eyes, skinny, and perfect height. I took it as a insult and was nice to her but couldn't believe that someone wanted my ugly behind for modeling. lol. I don't think I am going to the meeting unless I change my mind for some reason, and I don't want to live the rest of my life starving myself so someone can take a picture of me posing in a g-string. Pretty funny though, good motivation when I bulk after wrestling.

Day 2- Sunday, November 3rd, 2002

sleep: 7 hours
weight: 156:help: I weighed myself at like 5 so there should a lot of food and water weight, I am starting my diet tommorow!

Ramblings:
My back and knee both feel better! at least right now(just woke up) I still am going to ice them again today and instead of running I think I am going on a long bike ride. Chest and Calves today! I have come to the conclusion that I am not a bodybuilder, nor a powerlifter/olymic lifter/strongman, I am a wrestler, I don't need to get big, I need to get strong. So I am going to do this routine until the 16th instead of the 30th.

LIFTING:

Seated military bb press(212)- 105x4, 95x4.5
Had to use a chair I found in my basement, I need to find something more straight.

flat bb bench(212)- 135x5, 125x5.5

cleans- 95x8, 115x4

incline bb bench- 115x5.5, 105x5.5, 95x5.5
Can't believe it, talk about 5.5 being a bad number, I just couldn't push it up, I was burnt.

L-Laterals(212)- 15dbx6(bad form), 10dbx8
Start out with 12db next time, 2nd set I really felt the burn

chin down dips(111)- bw+10x4, bwx5.5


NOTES: Today was the first day that I got stuck with a weight when I was flat benching, it fell down on my chest so I rolled it to my stomach and it was starting ti kill my stomach after like 5 seconds so I decided to roll it over my wang and get it onto my hips and pop up, man, that was scary. Nobody else was in my house tuttut I feel so burnt, I think my next workout should be a lot better becuase I will be a little more used to it.


EXERCISE:
- Hour after I lifted I ran a quarter mile, rode my bike for a mile soft, then ride my bike for another mile with a fast pace (legs are killing me). I can't believe I way 156, my cut starts tommorow :(

I have decided to put chest and shoulders together. I did it today and wham no more shoulder pain! I don't know if it was from the smith machine military presses or what, but my shoulders feel a lot better! Im surprised! I will try to do back and triceps tommorow. I will do calves twice a week while im in school, I will use the school calf machine.

***That sucks, I've had it happen to me...it was not an enjoyable experience, but it hasn't happened since :D

Damn this sucks man. This has definitely happened to me quite a few times. I cannot stand when this sh*t happens. What I usually did was tilt the bar to one side and all of the plates would come crashing off, and then the other side was obviously heavy as sh*t, so it just fell to the ground. Scary feeling if you ask me.

I did that two years ago when I first touched a barbell, almost knocked my friend (spotters) head off. I was benching and my left arm was so far behind then that the clip fell off and wham the weighs flew off. lol I am just getting back from that back injury and my sticking point for the bench is horrible now, will it come back over time or should I be doing something for it?

I was one of the only people at my church football pool to pick buffalo this week, I had a horrible week :( Picked chicago over philly too lol I usually average 9-10 games right :rolleyes:

To be honest, with the way Drew has been playing, and the Pats have not been playing, I would've chosen Buffalo too. That said, you never know what's going to happen in today's NFL. I love it!

Thanks Nate, I surprised myself, I didtn' run for like a week and I was just hoping to get under 6 but once I started it I just felt good and got 1:16 on the first lap! Im used to getting like 1:25.

Deadlifted 185 for a max once with my left hand over and once with my right one over. Tommorow I am starting the cycle over, I should be able to do legs tommorow, chest on the day of the soccer game, and back saturday or sunday.

Soccer team one our first game in the states 2-0, the first win in a state tournament since my dad went to hs their lol. We have a good chance of winning friday but then I think in the semi finals are game is vs. a team that has never lost or tied this season.

165 set my mom interrupted me, 155 I was like dead on the last rep.

Leg Curl(202)- 65x5, 55x5
Dropped the pause at peak becuae I can't do it.

Leg Extension(212)- 70x6, 65x8
start out with 80 next time, drop to 70

BB Curl(112)- wu 75x4, 85x1- 90x4(cheat on last 2), 80x8(cheat on last 2)
I will keep doing 90 until I can get 4 without cheating, go up to 85 next time on the 2nd set

seated hammer db curl(213)- 30dbx5

Weight: 153.7 (keeps dropping everyday)

SOCCER TEAM WON IN OT, 34 seconds left in overtime and we scored on a 2 on 1 oddman rush. It was awesome, we are now in the semifinals of our groups playoffs. If we keep winning im not ever going to be able to start my cut. Im kind of cutting right now but not serously. Had a soccer party over a friends house and played capture the flat and some manhunt so that can be my cardio for the day :) I will lift chest tommorow.

GOT MY GLUTAMINE AND PROTEIN TODAY! I got 1000 g of optiumum nutrition glutamine for 32 bucks and the opt nutrition 100% natural whey with the stevia sweetener. It only took 2 days shipping and it was ups ground. Thats awesome.

20 minutes for your whole workout? Aren't you trying to put on mass kcck? If you go to failure and you want to put on mass I would say go 3-4 min, 1-2 is for your cardiovascular, endurance, and cutting if you ask me.
