Alright*signs*! Once again I am going to try this. I am going to keep a DAMN journal online. I'm here enough to atleast transfer what I write at the gym to WBB. Ok, that is enough ranting, you are acting like lil ole' biatch...quit cryin' and suck that sh*t up...the voice inside my head.

Anyway I have decide to do an experiment with my body in the gym. I know my body has to have HIGH volume for my it to react the way that I want it too. So being in the gym a tad bit longer and doing more sets then the usual person is a norm for me, nothing crazy.

Second, I have decide to hit small muscle groups directly twice a week, while keeping larger muscles to once a week. Yeah...yeah I know I get in-direct work on smaller muscle groups when I work larger muscle groups.....Shut the phuck up we knew that already, didn't you read above its a mutha*phuckin' EX-PER-I-MENT ...sheeessh - the voice inside my head .

I know all about low volume high intensity is what makes you grow...well not for us got damnit...so back off - the voice inside my head . My split looks like this:

Day 1: Chest, Triceps, & Calves
Day 2: Hamz, Back, Biceps & Forearms
Off Day
Day 3: Delts, Triceps, Traps & Neck
Day 4: Quadz, Hamz, Calves & Biceps
Off Day
Day 5: Abz, Neck, Traps, & Forearms


I was at a fluxuating weight between 185-190. I made a decision to eat extremely clean and I lost about 10 pounds of waste. I have now bulked up to a clean 182lbs. I plan on getting to 205-210.

This is my plan and I'm sticking with it. YEAH...AND DON'T TRY AND CHANGE HIS MIND EITHER-the voice inside my head

I am taking in roughly around 3100 cals. I am gradually gaining and I like it this way. Its consistent and it sticks to these skinny bones.

Workout Comments:

I thought that my pectoral muscles were go to rip from the insertion points. I fell into the ego pit with some guy that out wieghed me by a good 30+ lbs. Yeah we amazed that big brut that we are strong as phuck and he better phuckin' recognize- the voice inside my head He was cool but it was understood that we were about to make this primal. As the thrill to compete kicked in the pain in my chest began to raise. I'll I could hear was the Lil' John and the Eastside Boyz playing in my headphones and... biatch you better not quit and let that fat tub of sh*t show us up, I swear for LORD if you quit...I'll..I'll..I'll ....YOU JUST BETTER KEEP PUSHIN'!!!!-the voice inside my head

As the last set came around the guy stops me and says you are one strong little sh*t, DAMN where does all come from? I shrugged my shoulders, humbled by the recognition... Yeah Mutha*phucka you better rocognize, we are here to work and be bigger and stronger then every DAMN body in here.

The rest of the workout was awesome because of the pain that I was already in. All exercises weight went down and the reps had to be strict and done correctly. The burn was intense.

SLACKERS FEED OFF THE DISCIPLINED and I am PHUCKIN' sick off it! The bulk of the work falls on those that take up responsibility and other seem to pass through the day without doing a damn thing and get paid exactly what you make. Obviously I'm talking about work. There is a guy here that works in IT with me and I can tell you he works roughly 4 hours out of a full 8 hour shift. Now get this, the Manager and Supervisor know this but seem to still put the pressure on those that work to get things done efficiently and expediously. They don't even say sh*t to the slacking employees.MAN, GET THE PHUCK OUTTA HERE! *best andrew dice clay voice* They must be outta they rabbit mind. If they think that this will kept happening....the better realize its gonna be some furniture movin' around here, and some smoke in the city real soon.

Workout stayed pretty intense through out. I started out frying my hams so my Deadz sort of suffered but all in all it was good. I know during my Deadz my ass started to burn, I was clinching so hard I thought I was a necomer going to Alcatraz practicing on locking my ass cheeks....

I totally spent my back and that is what I have to do to help it grow and become stronger. I try and stay focused and concentrate on the feeling that the exercise and the weight is producing. This back day went very well.

My Quest to become Popeye is on it's way. I truely think that this extra day going to do wonders for my 4 Arms. Becoming a beast is not a want anymore it's a necessity.

Workout was nice but I realize that I really benefit from workout partners. I feel like I could possibly push out more or try heavier weight if I had the spotter or training partner that I used to have. I think that my gains are good but they could be great. When I was doing trapz today with Rob( this huge ass guy 6'0 265-270lbs)I tried more weight and was encouraged by his size to up the weight and try for more reps. I went for the burn because the image I want was right in front of me.

I thought I was gonna die after the Exhaustion Squats, I literally stood over a trash can for 5 minutes thinking that I was gonna puke.....Yeah, ya should have. It would have showed you that you are bustin' your ass in the gym, but since you didn't that means you intensity needs to be higher...SO GET TO IT DAMNIT!!! I grabbed my headphones, the boy DRANK HIS CUP OF COURAGE AND ATE HIS CHEERIOS OF CHAMPIONS BECAUSE HE DAMN NEAR LOST HIS MINE ON THE LEG PRESS!!!! I got on the press feeling strong and tried to get these damn pencil legs a'bigger. It was a great workout but I had to make the trash can my best friend for the day.

Thanks BennettBoy, I am pretty sure that your back and hams are just as strong. I would love to get a WBB workout session going on. That would flat out be the SH*T!!! We could get motivation from each other to pull out our best in each body part.

My girlfriend is going outta town this weekendWhen the cats away the mice will play... and I am comtemplating on being a bad bad boy. Come OOOONNNN!! Be bad, please be bad, pleeeeeeaaassse....You deserve it, you owe this to yourself to us, she doesn't know what she's got, how much puuuu-tang you pass up every day for her....She obviously takes you for granted...get whats coming to you!!-the voice inside my head(take a pic which) She will be gone for a good and solid two days which is 48 hours of mischievious ADULT fun.

In this last week I have ran across old flames that have brought back some soft porn type memories. As I spoke with a few of them they started to tell me how much they missed what we had and what we "ENGAGED IN," and it got me hot under the collar and in other places as well. I even ran across a girl that I just dated before my girlfriend who now works out at my gym and she just did a competition so you can only imagine what I was thinking. She stops me in the gym by running her fingers down my rhomboids, with a soft scratch. She says to me ...OOOOHHHH, I wonder what that be like to hold onto with my hands and my legs...Oh, baby we could show you what it's like ...NNNOOOOOOOO PROBLEM!! Do you wanna find out now??-the voice in my head. I just bit down on my lip and then changed the subject.

I can't believe that I am going to be tested like this...each one which happens to be 4 females that are probably in the best shapes of their lives want to revisit old times and I am freaking out, because every man knows what we want to do and I know what the right thing to do is... make a list and put the girls in a priority list on which to do first...-the voice in my head Someone help me.....AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I know Franji, I know.*hangs head in shame*But these other girls have made their smooth comments on the changes of body and the one that works out at my gym truely understands what it takes...the drive and determination to do what we do. I tell my girlfriend about it and she says," that's nice" *in an Edith Bunker type of way*

Damn, that burns me.

You got to remember too, she is probably with you daily (if not alot each week) so she probably don't think much about it. These other women that have crossed your path again don't see you often and it is easy for them to throw compliments around. That said, some women really know how to feed a man's ego when they want something. Be careful :cool: which reminds me I sure wished my friends girlfriend would stop coming on to me all the time....the voice in my head...but truth LOL.

Not to worry, all is safe. Actually this happened when the 2 of them were SUPPOSEDLY broken up (well they were having lots of problems). Anyway, after 2 months of the crap......it ended. :p Now they are back together LOL.

Just to let you know, I really like that video by Russ Testo. I have only watched the symmetry posing round, but already I have learned alot of stuff I didn't know. I am hoping that after I am done I can really bring out my poses better. As crazy as this might sound, IMHO, I look alot more muscular when fooling around in front of the mirror than what comes out after taking digital pictures. I dunno what's up with that, but I like the video. Thanks again for the tip. By the way, ole Russ has some major pecs on him. Geez. :cry:

This was a nice workout. I started out to light which am still pissed about. I figure out why I wasn't sure of my strength. I had a work out partner on this day and I was very pleased. I worked out with my goal body type. I mentioned him before his name is Rob(6'0 265-270lbs) which can go all phuckin' out when he works out. I followed his routine for this day to see if I liked it. I benefited from the help and the motivation. The first couple of exercises slacked but picked up as we got to the T-Bar and after. It was phenominal I think I will workout with again soon.

Russ is a great natural bodybuilder who only does guest posing now, that is how good he is. Yeah, Russ has some exceptional Legs and Pecs. He can bring out his muscle definition under his control...which I have been working on.

The stuff that you learn with Russ you should apply with you pictures and that will give you a better overall view of what to work on and what is overpowering. Russ is an exceptional teacher. I watch the tape atleast once a week and mock him. Great posers are noticed easily at shows, and especially at PRE-JUDGING!

Obviously I am about to go the PHUCK OFF!!! I work in an IT department and I usually speak with other institutional IT departments to setup the proxy servers and institutional based connections to our website.

Well, I have decided to help out some other departments...just to get alittle overtime atleast for the Christmas season. Well, I decided to help out the Techinal Support Dept. for CD-ROMS. Let me just breakdown the scenarios that happen to me last night.

First remember that all the people that I will have scenarios for are MEDICAL DOCTORS!!!

Phone Call Scenario #1

gg- Elsevier Science Technical Support, this is Courtney how can I help you?

doctor- I'm having trouble installing my disc and you need to fix it!!

gg-"look here bitch, I don't who the phuck you think you are but I don't give a flying phuck about your damn problem!!!-the voice inside my head. Ok, first what's the name of your disc and what is the edition?

doctor- Virtual Clinical Excursions...Ed. 6.

gg- What is the problem that you are having with the installation, are you getting an error message??

doctor- What the hell, did you not hear me, I said it won't install!!!

gg- I swear for LORD, that I would phuckin' slap the **** outta you if you were standing iany where near me. Bitch I would slap your ass so hard, the police would be able to take my finger prints off your face. Woooohoooo, I promise-the voice inside my head. Well, lets just try and re-install together. I will walk you through the steps.

doctor-fine!!

gg- Could you place the CD in the CD Drive please. Once doing that please go to the MY COMPUTER on your desktop.

doctor- Wait, what the hell is my desktop??

gg- This bitch is dumb! -the voice inside my head. That is the screen that comes up when you turn your computer on. You should already be on it. Usually in the top left hand corner there will be a picture of a computer and under it will be the words MY COMPUTER. Do you see that??

doctor- yeah

gg- Could you double click on that??

doctor- I tried it, it doesn't work. It won't come up.

gg- if you press on the mouse twice the option window should and will appear.

doctor- I can't get the double click part down.

gg- ARE YOU PHUCKING SERIOUS?!! HOW CAN YOU NOT GET DOUBLE CLICKING DOWN??? YOU TAP SOMETHING TWICE. THIS IS A PHUCKING DOCTOR THAT I AM SPEAKING TOO. SHE OPERATES ON PEOPLE WILL SHARP OBJECTS AND MAKES CRUCIAL PHUCKING DECISIONS ON PEOPLE BODYS....OMGAWD!!!-the voice inside my head. doctor- Hold on. *puts receiver down, the receiver hits the table. Picks the receiver back up.* The letters on my drives say "D-I-S-C 1, and D-I-S-C 2."

gg- Excuse me?? Could you repeat that?

doctor- D-I-S-C 1 and D-I-S-C 2.

gg- Ok, this has got to be a joke. There is not a way in hell that a doctor could be this dumb. Don't treat me like I am dumb, **** I have to dumb down every damn thing for you, you must be damn retarded!!!-the voice inside my head. No, No, on the screen in the option window what are the letters on the drives?

doctor - Oh, C: and D: ?

gg-What do you read next to the D: drive?

doctor- Virtual Clin.

gg- Click on that, and the click on the install icon. That is all you have to do.

doctor- Oh, ok ....thanks.

gg-Ummm Hmmmm....get the phuck off my phone bitch and don't ever call me again with DUMB ASS.

That was what I have to deal with on my overtime shift. What bull****...why do some doctors think that they better then other people.

Oh, by the way yesterday was my OFF DAY. Look what happens when you try to help out.

WorkHorse, my regular job isn't like this, but when I do overtime I usually do it in the Technical Support for CD-ROMS and alot of the calls are like this. I think that I will start putting some of the conversations that I have in here, as an "insight on my life." Might be something to think about.

My workouts sort of suffered because of it but all in all it was a great time. I hung out with my Frat Bruthas, some REAL N.U.P.E.S, as well and pledged some potential Kappas. Well that is if they hopefully make it and don't drop(quit) that is. Yes....yes, they get hazed and yes....yes is that illegal, but it is the correct way to enter this NOBLE KLAN, thats how it is suppose to happen. Pledging is a privledge that everyone doesn't get or have. To be apart of a lustrious fraternity such as mine is an ELITE invitation and honor to a great world.

Ok, I am biased but I am right none the less.

eclips1, I feel it all in my chest. I feel it stretch out in the insertion points and contract all in the chest. I use the dip bar that looks like a triangle and I put my arms slightly behind me and whooa its pain, I love it. Even though it takes my strength way down for my other exercises its worth it.

Agreed on the dips they can be a deadly arsenal for the chest. Although im a bit concerned about the time you spent in the gym, over 1h 30mins, that seems like you could be entering a catabolic site and your growth hormones would of plumetted, then again your physique tells a story of its own, unfaultable.

O.k., My girlfriend goes outta town this past weekend and I haven't had any ahhhh how should I say it....pu-tang for quite sometime. I'm serious its been about 3-3 1/2 weeks...oh, I know it doesn't sound that long to you but when you have in-house pu-tang that you see every night 3+ weeks is like years. Here it is...I'm a NYMPHO!!!! I love sex and everything about it. So what sue me,... just don't take the pu-tang away. I was going outta my mind, I even came home early from work so I could get some before she left...and what happens not a DAMN THANG!!! Why because she is Miss Conservative, and I am PORN STAR!!! She belongs in the Little house on the Prarie and I belong in Boogy Nights(replacing Dirk Diggler). She leaves without "Da Rula" getting to place its reign over her pu-tang once again. Thanx for the compliments you are always a big support of me and I thank you for that.

The time in the gym is understandable. I usually workout about 1 hr and 15-35 minutes. Yesterday I didn't leave until later because I was practicing my posing and looking for weak points with the owner of my gym who is a NPC judge. I usually don't push the limit that much but my body can take the extra time in the gym. Thanks for the concern though.

Well, I mean she is a good woman except for this aspect, which I can't understand. Its just that she is so conservative and I am not. She is very insecure about these types of situations but it's really starting to get on my last nerve.

Good side...

She does everything in the world for me, we don't argue or fight except over this(sex) and that is about how much, and that I'm a PORN STAR...

She is beautiful, and I mean beautiful. Smart ass hell, Major is Micro Biology. She is down to earth, cool and playful. Can act silly even though she is brilliant. She has a singing voice that has acquired a record deal w/ universal. She has a body that all women would die for and she doesn't even work out that much. Get this she has an ass I can sit a glass on, a size zero waist and perky breast that are 34 C's(damn near D's).

The problem is she has it all but doesn't know how to apply it. That maybe the most frustrating thing about the whole situation. She would be the perfect woman for me but, she is not compatiable SEXUALLY!!

I think that I can probably teacher or mold her into that type of woman but it seems as if I can't. I love a challenge and I will win.

I have no clue how often you are talking about having sex, but if you are "getting it" a couple times a week, I believe I would live with that for now considering all her other great qualities. You are not going to find everything you want in a lady more times than not. And some folks have a partner where the sex is great, but other things are missing and they are not pleased either.

Here's my point: most ladies in their young 20's just do not have that great of a sex drive. And males in their teens and 20's are erect 24 x 7 it seems LOL. Trust me, the tide usually changes later. When she gets in her mid 30's to young 40's and you are in your 40's.......good luck keeping up with her. :D My ex wanted sex daily if I would give it to her. But my drive wasn't what hers was at that time in our life. And based on other guys I've talked with at similar ages, this seems to be common. Sh&t, sometimes I just wanted to be left alone LOL to watch TV or get on the computer. Sad, but women then begin to think something is wrong with them if their husband or boyfriend doesn't want them all the time.

Try to find some kind of happy medium for now. The tide will change later.....I guarantee it. And if you are still as craved as you are now, that will be all the better for the two of you.

Anyhow, I told her that at this point in a guy's life sex is an important thing and when it's denied at every attempt it makes me feel like she's not attracted to me. I also let her know that no matter how many times she explains that it's not me, it still feels like me and it causes me a lot of pain. She doesn't wanna see me in pain, but it's hard since she can't understand how I feel (since she doesn't feel that way herself). So, usually it ends up as a bartering system (which reminds me of prostitution). I'll do this if you do this kind of thing. If your girl loves you, she'll work it out. If not...boot her out.

I also let her know that no matter how many times she explains that it's not me, it still feels like me and it causes me a lot of pain. She doesn't wanna see me in pain, but it's hard since she can't understand how I feel (since she doesn't feel that way herself). So, usually it ends up as a bartering system (which reminds me of prostitution). I'll do this if you do this kind of thing. If your girl loves you, she'll work it out. If not...boot her out.

Workouts are looking good. Your the 1st person I've noticed doing neck work. You are probably one of the most well balanced bb'rs I've come across. Don't seem to have any real week points and excellent overall strength! Keep at it. I'll be watching. Peace.

Thanks for the compliments. My strength is coming along alot faster then this weight, which is a good and bad thing but hey all in due time, right?

Well, neck training...lets see how to explain the first exercise. Its a cable machine that has a stool that you sit on, there is a pad lever the you place you head on. The lever and weight applies the resistance and you push back or side to side moving your head and depending on which seated position you are in. Either a "Yes" over exagerrated position or moving you head side to side trying to touch your ears to your shoulder. I hope you can picture this though my explaination.

The second one is easier. You lay on a flat bench, just enough were your head and neck are off the edge. (lay vertically) Place a towel on the back on your head and place the weight(whatever it maybe) on top of the towel. You then do the exagerrated(sp) "YES" motion. Hold the weight with you hand but don't help you neck.

These exercises can be a killer.

If strength and size were to go hand in hand that would be the perfect environment, second best would be more strength than size, which is what your experiencing, so i feel that its a good thing, keep it up.

Yeah, I think that it is great that I have more strength then most expect, and that I am getting harder and more dense as I get stronger. Those are +'s in my book, well I guess the weight will come as soon as I stay strict and eat MORE!

I've been containing the voice in my head... I know it's got alot to say and I'm afraid I'll let out more then needed, but its coming believe me it's coming. I am taking a supplement called MCT Oil, which... it just adds calories but as I have been taking it, I have jumped in strength. (which all could be a placebo) But hey as long as I am improving then I'll keep taking it.

Thanks for the compliment on the workouts...I feel like there is always someone working harder then I am and that I am behind, so I try and push myself to the limit each time during my workouts.

I'm not exactly sure on the amount of protein but its pretty close to 400 I know. I think its about 360 are so. Thanks for chiming in...

My bills at the grocery store are sick!! I mean, its a weekly thing, I'm there so often cashier know my face and name. I have spent quite abit of money on food but I don't spend it on anything else so I cool I guess, and plus I am out of school and have a job so it is alittle easier for me then you.

OK....I took some time of during this past holiday week. Wednesday til' today which happens to be Tuesday. SHUT THE PHUCK UP, he's allowed to take some time off. Goodness get off the boys back. It's his own fault if he doesn't gain the weight and he becomes as thin as the scare crow in the wizard of oz. Its no problem that he didn't show any DAYUMN discipline over the holidays with his phuck'n diet....he'll turn into a "SKINNY FAT" yeah, that is what its called. A pot bellied stick figure. His punk arse will learn that NO SLACK is a fact....but hey he doesn't listen to me...-the voice inside my head

I had meals just not enough of them during the holiday week. I even drank with my fraternity bruthas on friday. I stayed out til' 4 am on friday and I ate maybe 3-4 meals tops. I ended up eating home made dressing, turking, chitlins', fried turkey butts, green beans, lots of gravy, home made cornbread, sweet potatoe pie, and the list goes on...if your from the south you know what I talkin about.

I had a good time but I felt like I was getting smaller every day that I missed the gym. It is a sick disease that we have, or maybe you all don't have but I do. I feel as if I was that small scarwny kid that was barely pushing 135 up this past Jan. 5th. Gawd, I hate this feeling.

Back to the gym tonight though and oh, I will feel like Arnold when I leave..." A pump in the gym is like cumming to me, its the same feeling....it great I can cum when I lift, when I pose, and with a woman....I cum all day."-Arnold Pumping Iron.

She was upset and embarassed though and was not talking for a while after we ate. I had to take her home and I didn't speak with her for about 8 hours. She wouldn't even answer my phone calls.

She was alittle upset but she knows that my family is pretty close and that we really don't keep any secrets. So she wasn't as mad as I thought she would've been, actually it kinda lite a flame under her to get her sexual machine in gear if you know what I mean. She and I ended up having a huge discussion about our relationship and where we stand and our outlooks on the whole thing which was good. I never in life want to go through that again.

I had warned her about my family discussions over holiday meals. I've seen off the conversations but they never really included my sex life until this past one. I will be sure to be ready for the next one.

You read right. I really don't count the sets for the 1 rep max, but I was excited to get back in the gym after my long stint away.

I usually try and work 16-20 sets for chest and 12-15 sets for triceps depending on how strong they are that day.

I was talking with a guy at the gym yesterday that I respect a great deal, "Rob." We were talking about the Arnold Classic and putting on size before it. He now weighs 263 and said that he is trying to weigh 285 before the end of December....I said damn that is 20+ pounds in a month. "Rob"says.."Yeah, I know I'll just get alittle help from my buddies. "

It wasn't a shocker but a the moment I was kinda thrown back into reality. 6'0 263lbs, and still seeing abs was something I thought I might beable to reach one day with my genetic make up, obviously this goal was crushed. We then talked more and he was making the use of anabolics sound ok. I don't knock the use of them I'm just not sure if they are right for me....but they could be? He was talking about the use of a doctor and correct dosage for body types and cycle sizes. Before I knew it I was seriously considering using. The fear of the needle left me and the urge to be freakishly big took me over. The "whatever-it-takes" thought became my frame of mind. I left the gym thinking and planning when I would take them, and if certain situations occurred I would do it sooner of later.

Once again, I don't knock those that use anabolics or discount their hard work because I have watched two gentlemen in my gym "ROB" include bust their arse, sweat like a pig and be consistent in coming every day.

I'm just not sure what I am going to do or need to do. I want to keep competing in the sport. I want to be as big as I possibly can get. Is it worth the trouble is the question??

First off, mang, as hilarious and unerving as that Thanksgiving scene was, I think it's awesome that you can communicate with your family about everything. It even sounds like it may have solved some of your problems. Throw in a manic depressive aunt and you've got my family. Last year she was fighting because she wanted to sit at the kid table.

Congrats on the pr for bench. 320X1 is awesome. I'll be happy when I can press 100 lb less than that. haha.

And as far as anabolics go, I think they have their place. You still seem to be progressing well without them though. What's your weight at now?

Yeah, that's true...every family has their "interesting people." That's kinda cool that you're family is open about stuff like sex...it would NEVER work in my family. We sort of operate on a "don't ask, don't tell" basis. Occasionally my mom would try to pry, ask leading questions, try to get information but we'd all pretend that we didn't know what she was getting at. GG, on the anobolic route, if your gonna do it, I'd say just make sure your educated on the topic. Thats one reason i haven't used gear, because I don't know enough about it, and what I don't know sometimes scares me. The biggest reason though is because I believe no pain no gain. Yea u can get huge on gear, bigger than u can get with out it. But thinking about it deeply, I really don't lift to get big. its not about that goal(hitting a certain weight, bf%, ect) but more about the effort and progression I put in to achieve said goals. Thats what I learn from and that is what enhances my life the most. I get tempted to juice all the time, but thats what it is, a temptation. I like the hard road, i live for the struggle. I feel you on the struggle, and those that do gear still struggle and still venture the hard road its just not as hard as a natural one. I feel you on that. I live for the struggle as you do.

I'm also like you in the way that I am ignorant in world of gear. I know nothing and until I am well educated in this area I will not be injecting sh!t into my body. Like you I fear the unknown and I until I conquer the fear I will natural. The temptation is always strong though.

**** ive only been out of your journal 2 minutes and i come back and there is all this!

Gotta say the new pb on the bench was bone shaking, incredible stuff man, i bet you were like ducks to water when you finally got back in the old iron room.

As for the AAS i have done a hell of alot of reading just to get clued up incase at a future date i decide to use. Thats all i can say to you is read around the subject:) 'Knowledge is the Bomb!'

It really depends where you want to be, imo you dont need them, you could stay natural and get real far if you wanted too. But everyone is different you may want something else i.e. go for a Pro-Card (which is definately achievable). What i would say though is wait at least until your 25 because youve only been training for is it 11months? there is so much more distance you can cover without touching AAS.

Just be wise man, im with you whatever path you take.

Also GG, I have a suggestion. I bet if you cut down to 8 work sets to failure on major muscle groups, and 6 on minors for a couple weeks, you would see so serious gains. I can't tell u how to train but I'm just speaking from personal experience. I trained with high sets for my 1st year +, and I plan to again in the future. I always thought I had to work harder than others. But when I cut my sets down and focused on intensity, going to thru and beyond failure....I hadn't seen gains like this since I started lifting. i mean, my bench went from 315 to 350 quick! I just think it might be a good shock to your muscles.

I might have to try that. I will have to cut down on some things. My muscles just don't seemed to get fatigued at all with less sets. I'll try it today. I have back and biceps, and hams. What do you suggest amount of sets and exercises that is?? I want to be sore or receive and incredible pump atleast. Enlighten me Yoda Clips....

On back I had started doing 5 sets of pull ups, and 3-4 sets of rows. I would warm up with 3 sets not to failure but enough to pump the muscles. Then on all other sets go completely to failure. I mean if you have a spotter, when you can't get another rep at all your self your spotter helps you get 2-3 more.

Bi's, 4 sets of preacher curls in the manner described above is killer. I don't try to do a lot of excersises in 1 workout for a muscle group. I'll do hammers and consentrations 1 wk, preachers another, ect, ect.

I just really started doing Ham work so I couldn't advise u. I think sprints kill em more than anythin else for me, but I have do do those on a seperate day than lifting because they take a lot out of me.

I've been known to bang out 25-30 sets in a workout session at the gym, but when I train in this high intensity manner, man I'm lucky to get through 12-15 and I feel like I've worked harder than ever before.

Alright, I was getting very DEPRESSED lately about my weight...goodness I'm sounding like a fat chick that can't stop eating sitting in a weight watchers beginners program...-the voice inside my head. I really wasn't thinking that there was anything wrong with my eating or my working out but obviously there is or was. I am consuming the amount of food for someone that is roughly 210-220 and I am no where near that weight. Well my food intake has to be consistent for 1 and my workouts need to be intense and not long.

OK, you guys were right, maybe, I possibly have been overtraining my body, I SAID YOU WERE RIGHT.... I AM OVERTRAINING!!!

I was talking to a guy last night, Brad Wadlow, one of the winners from the first Body for Life. He trains and works out at my gym. He was asking how I was doing and how is my training, if I was gonna compete next year. I told him so so, and that I was having a hard time with my diet even though I was stuffing my face and if I get it together I will compete. I told him that I have a good nutritional program, but I am just not growing at the rate that I should. He started breaking things down for me, as you all do all the time. That of course less is more, and INTENSITY is key. He then said obviously you knew that..., I nodded yes. He stated that he thought that Mike Mentzers HIT Training program would be great for someone like me, genetically speaking. I told him that I would be willing to try anything. He told me that he would write out my routine, and give me the tapes of the talks(phone conversations) that Mike Mentzer and he had about working out. Brad, trained with Mike Mentzer and said the workouts where sick, and I am all about that. He believes that I would ballon and be freaky naturely on this type of workout. We'll see I'm going to try it. The workout is either a 2 or 3 day workout routine, so different from what I am used too.

Question, Statements, and I told you Sos' are now being taken please fire away.

Sounds good to me!! I think you'll make some serious gains! Me and you are a lot alike but on opposite sides of the spectrum. U have to eat like you weigh +50lbs to gain, while I have to eat like I weigh -50lbs to loose.

Training with High intensity is the SH*T!! I mean everything you got and then some!! After that you still get 2 more reps!! Doing 25 sets, you gotta be pacing yourself somewhat(no i told u so's, just speaking from personal experience).

I'd say just take everything in and personalize it to fit u. What works for some doesn't work for all. Just like 16 x Your BW doesn't put on mass for you like it might for others. Maybe you need 20 x BW. Same goes for lifting. I'm sure you'll find what works for you. Gotta go....I'll holla at u later.

Diet will probably stay the same...My workout routine is what needs fine tunning. I will be posting pix, very soon of the before HIT Mike Mentzer Workouts and of course after.

Also, I remember Maki saying we can't force growth and you just grow in spurts it seems. I think he is correct.

I have nothing against HIT or Metzer's thoughts, but I would only suggest you utilize the training with intensity part (to failure), but not sure you need to do the lifting every 4-5 day stuff. I am still a firm believer that if you eat correctly, get enough rest and young like you, you can train 4 times a week no problem. Certainly 3.

This is it Craig. My diet was quite abit of food. I was eating for someone that possibly could be 200-215lbs, and of course I am no where near that, NO WHERE NEAR, LET ME TELL YA!! So I also think that I am overtraining some. My weight hasn't really gone up at the pace that I believed it should. So I think that I need to lower the volume of my routines and basically change up the game. I am going to workout 4 days a week instead of 5 days and then take a day off and start the cycle over again. I got the workout last night, and I listen to Mentzer talk on the tapes last night and I am going to give it a try. If it doesn't work then I can do something else.

I am going to change up the diet as well. I think that I am going to eat some of the same things but I am going to add peanut butter back, and I am going to just eat again. I am not going to worry about how clean it is. I never have been out of single digit bf% no matter what I have eaten so, that is another change I will be making.

I am going to post the my workout routine and I will start posting my diet for the day as well.

If you never have trouble keeping low BF then just concentrate on eating large amounts

This has been working for me quite well. What kind of split are you looking at. How long did your workouts take? Mine take no more than an hour, and somtimes not even 45 minutes. How many working sets and exercises are you concentrating on? Are you still seeing strength gains? Just a few questions.

HY, that is my same split....but I do different bodyparts on those days. It works for me. But I like lifting 4 times a week. I need to get my diet back on track though.

My split before is in the very beginning of this journal...and I am changing it to Mike Mentzers HIT training routine. Its 4 days no longer then 40 minutes a session. Before I was Working out for 1 1/2 hours or maybe alittle more and I was working my ass off. Strength was coming here and there but it stayed stagnant in some areas. I was doing 16-20 working sets for chest, back and legs alittle more. Just to much I think.

Ya GG, I don't know if you should resort to a HIT routine, but I think you might wanna try to drop to 12 sets for chest, back and legs and then about 8-9 for bi's, tri's and shoulders. I think this would kick start you without resorting to a drastic routine such as HIT. I've read up on it a little and from my understanding you barely do any heavy sets for the routine. I don't know all about it, but I don't think it will be enough for you to get the growth you're looking for, although I do agree with you about 16-20 sets being too much and overtraining. The choice is up to you, but I think you'd see some continued growth is you just dropped to about 70% of the sets you're doing now. Good luck in whatever you choose, we're behind ya. And if you do go with the HIT routine, I'm interested to see how your body reacts, kinda like a science experiment... which goes right along with your journal title... lol.

All working sets will be to "FAILURE". Wanting to be between 6-10 reps plus some forced reps after that. This sceme uses T.U.T through out all working sets and exercises, excluding Deadlifts. galileo is exactly right. All the sets are supposed to be as heavy you can for the amount of reps(6-10). So HEAVY is the theme. I will let you all know what happens. It will be here right in my journal and I will be sure to let you all know every little thing.

Your right sets aren't many. 1-2 sets per exercise but its about the stress that you put the muscle under. That is why the the failure and TUT are such huge variables in this training sceme, both of which I like a lot. My favorite things TUT, HEAVY WEIGHT, & FAILURE. As for the diet nuts are great for adding cals, other good ideas are using oils i.e. flax and olive. If your using skim milk then change to semi. Potato's are a good way to add good quality calories too, add some milk and spread (pref olivio) and youve got mash.

Otherwise plenty of meat and other veggies should help you gain and be healthy at the same time:)

Alright my stint from the gym is NOW over. I can finally get down to business and improve this feeble body. I have been jailed by "OVERTRAINING" this past week. I have been trying to let my body heal from the pounding that I was delivering throught those high volume training days. As I said before I am going to start this NU EXPERIMENT come tonight, Mike Mentzer HIT. I was wrong before its actually a two day a week program and I am going to see how things work. I will be working out Mondays' and Thursdays...and eat my ass off every other day. Hold on to your horses baby because its about to wild in the Biatch.....!!!!!!

Another side note for those of you who wish to have an eye into my world.... I broke up with my girlfriend on friday night. It was rough because she and I get along so well, but we aren't compatiable as lovers just as friends. She and I have different approaches to life and neither is better than the other there just different. We have different approaches to "SEX" as well. Its not that I couldn't go on in a relationship, its that I couldn't go on in a relationship and not deliver the LOVE that she rightfully deserves. I've thought about cheating on her but I never did, so I thought that I should do the best thing for our relationship....to END it. She cried terribly and slept less but it was the obvious truth that at this point in both our lives we are not compatiable. Maybe sometime down the line of next year or etc, it will change but as of now it needed to end....so I did. We are still close and friends but lovers ahhhhhhhhhhh....

My workout was extremely short, which was weird. It lasted about 25-30 minutes at most. I was suprised but the stress that I put my muscles under was something special. I loved the how INTENSE it was. I'm worried about the lack of time in the gym and some of the exercises that I am not doing but other then that I love it. I am sore this morning from such a short time in the gym. It was flat out wonderful.

When u say "(4-2-4-0)" and "(3-0-3-0)", what does this mean? I think u have found something to stick with. In the future I think you'll be able to tweak your program to match you specifically. As long as the philosophy stays the same. good work!

The cadence in which you perform your reps and or exercise. The cadence happens be known as T.U.T or Time Under Tension. The Cadence sets the pace for the reps eccentric and concentric movements. T.U.T puts you muscle under some extreme stress and cause growth. Heavy weight, strict form, and TUT is all you need.

A Pec Deck is a Machine or Cable Flyes. It looks are if your seating in a seating up right performing flyes connected to cables. I bet you know what it is...just with a different name.

I plan on seeing what it does for me and how it works, how my body reacts to it, to see also if my genetics give me a chance to add some exercises or not. Its a work in progress.

G's Nu Experiment

I have tweeked the HIT program that I was supposed to be on. I can't manage the system of the daily program of only 2 days a week. So as Eclips1 had said once I tweek to my needs and body style it possibly will be perfect. So that is what I did and I will have to say that my BACK workout last night was one of the best that I have had in a long time. This what the routine looks like.

(2)Hyperextensions:(4-2-4-0)+25x10, +35x5...as before I know that I could have done more, and next time I will for sure. I just felt it out this time but it was still an amazing set with extreme intensity.




This was one of the best back workouts that I have had in a long time. The workout only last roughly 40 minutes max and I was totally spent. It was phenominal, and I took the TUT and intensity from Mikes Mentzers' sceme and applied it to the way I want to work out. It was flat out beautiful. I can't wait to see the results after some monthes. I thank you guys for questioning my workouts volume and if I was possibly overtraining because I would have never found this without having to re-think my routines. Thanx again.

My personal opinion is that that might still be a little too much. Why not try 8 sets for chest, back and legs(majors). 6 sets for bi's, tri's, and delts(minors). Then you have a # of combinations u can do(major/minor, major/major, minor/ minor) while staying in a set range of 12-16 for the workout. Anything over 16 sets in a workout and my intensity suffers(this coming from someone who use to do 30 set, 2hr workouts).

Just a thought. Still this looks better than before. I notice that really my maximum maximum effort comes around my 2nd work set after warm up. So on my 1, 2, &3 sets after warm up i'm going all out, past failure! I'm working hard for the rest of the session, but I believe the major work is done in the 1st 3-5 work sets. These are the ones I focus the hardest on and feel the most intensity.

I am trying to make sure that I don't go over 10 sets total for body parts maybe 11 but I am trying to stay within that. I am going to see how I feel and how my weight moves before I change it again. If it doesn't work I will have to change it as you suggested. I am really keeping track now.I am hoping to explode, I am ready to explode so I am taking every suggestion, but I have to try other things before I cast them to the side.

I have no doubt in my mind that you wont explode with this new routine. By the way it was a nice workout man.

6-8 reps would be most desireable imo, If your diet is right then the only thing you can do is grow.

Hey G, keep in mind that TUT isn't really "accurate." Like has been said before, it's more of a trade-off between tension and time. Too much time means not enough tension and too much tension means not enough time. Just food for thought in case you wanted to go heavier but were worried about your tempo.

SF, I hear ya. I just let TUT kinda scare me, instead of just stepping up to the plate and going too heavy for the TUT. Next time I will try it no matter what as long as my form is correct. I'll keep ya updated.

Guess what she never called. I was PISSED, not that I didn't get any but the point that I wasted my night sitting around waiting on her. I am A LADYS MAN, and there is many that I haven't touched yet. I don't really have a hard time getting a date or anything else, I am high caliber what the phuck was she thinking? It really depends on her reasoning. U should ask her. But for real, on booty calls, I don't consider them sure things because anything can happen from the time they call and the scheduled rondevous point. I always go about my business and if it cracks later than thats all good, but if it doesn't then oh well, I really didn't have my hopes up. I use to always get those calls, "I'm gonna call u after the club, or meet me at my place after the club, or I want you to ...ect, ect, ect. U can't count on them! They are merely loose invitations. Not a contract. The deal doesn't get closed til u get them in front of u, alone!

Also, I always state my intentions in the call! I assume nothing. Just cuz your invited over to a girls house at 2am doesn't mean you get to hit it! If I get the invite I always ask what they want, and I make em spell it out for me. I've never been as irritated with a woman as when this girl called me over to her house at 3am! and she stayed 30 minutes from me! And my dumb a$$ went! And she didn't want to have sex! WTF!! I was pissed, but I didn't trip...charged it to the game and took my a$$ home.

I think that I am truly enjoying this low volume exercise. The intensity is extremely high and it is extremelyHARD!! I am getting DOMS slowly today but its coming none the less. Its uncanny on how intense the workouts are in such a short time span and I am amazed at strict form and concentration that I have while enduring this pain. I seemed to be focused while in the gym again; comparing my mental status during my high volume versus my low volume. I think I would be extremely focused before but it would fall off the longer I am in the gym. Well, it seems to be working I am sore in chest and my triceps(which had no direct work...:D). Well, we will have LEGS later on today.

ECTX: Lifting only once a day, for maybe 40 minutes and I mean it is flat out intense. I don't even understand it, but I don't have to as long as it works and keeps me motivated. I work out 4 days a week and for 40 minutes or less. IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!

Common, I probably roughly took in about 2700-3400 calories. You have to remember that everyones bodys aren't the same and my metabolism is extremely high, yours maybe as well. I may have to eat more or consume more cals than you do to reach the weight.

Great job GG. You are pushing some serious weight there bro. I have no clue how you do 180 on pulldowns unless your tension on your machine is different from the one I use. 140 is heavy as hell to me.

It was a great workout....hard and intense. I pondered the +145 on the dips before doing them. A guy came over to me after doing the +125 and was like..."That was impressive I have never seen anyone do that much before." So I strapped on the extra 20 pounds and thought to myself.... Are you PHUCKIN' crazy? You haven't done Dips in over 3 weeks and you've been eating like sh!t...so what the hell do you think your doin'? Man, if you don't get this sh!t your punk a$$ is gonna be laughed at number 1, and number 2 your feelings are gonna be hurt...as well as our ego. Man think about this ......the voice in my head As I walked up to the dip bar all I could hear between Missy Elliots Lyrics was.... HomeYield can do it, HomeYield is doing it, if your punk a$$ strapped it on then phuckin' do it, no turnin' back now...Oh yeah biatch HomeYield has already done this pussy weight you are behind....the voice in my headI was pumped and ready to go. I thought man, if I don't get this sh!t I have to mark it down as a missed attempt in my journal and I don't want that....Hell Nah.

I was looking for one but 1 got 2 and was extremely pleased for about 1 1/2 seconds. I thought damn...it wasn't +150 and that is where HomeYield is...Gotta come harder next week. To let you all know my chest is sore, the slightest movement causes pain...very nice.

Galileo, I think that I am weighing in @ about 179-182 range depending on what I eat. I lost alot of weight during holiday system. I was neglecting my stomach but I'm back on track. I have gained about 5 lbs in the last week. Oh, I was scared to move up the Incline DB weight becuz I didn't have a spotter...and I was doing TUT...look out next week.;)

I don't have a spotter either, which sucks. It's so rough hoisting those dumbbells without a decent spotter. The 80's this week were frightening. My biggest problem at the moment is that I am using thick-handled dumbbells which are even more difficult to handle. Put the damn DB's on your knee and kick'em up to your shoulders...that's what I do and I don't have a problem get'em up. Your stronger then you think you should try the 85's now don't wait....stop being a SISSY!!!:D

Haha! I do use my knees to kick them up, but that takes a lot of energy out that I could be using to push the ****ers toward the ceiling!

ahhh...having a spotter is nice...but doing them without is more staisfying!!

There are a couple pretty experienced people in my gym around when I do chest so I'll ask for spot from some of them. Chest is the one day me and my workout partner don't workout together, so its tough to find a decent spotter but I've found a few.

The voice in your head would be an awesome motivational speaker. I got really pumped just reading that. Dips rule!!

My arms are 17.25" or maybe alittle bigger, I haven't measured lately but that is were they where about a month ago cold, ice cold. I have been working out for a full year, my anniversary was on Jan.5th, 2003. Thanks for the respect man, appreciate it.

HY:I planned on competing in 3 shows this year but as of right now the first show is not going to happen because I am no where near the weight that I had planned or wished to be. So Yes and Yes to both your questions. I am trying to pack on the size right now so, when I reach that specific weight then I will start to prepare for the shows.
