lifting releases those feel good, give me energy endorphins too kimpster. And generally, it doesn't take as long to get that feeling from lifting as it does cardio because to get a true endorphin high from running it takes about 4 miles on average for most people. The lack of energy thing though ya i hear you there. All I've done for the past week was slept, and it was awful awful awful. So the best thing to do if you don't have energy is LIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFT or run, but don't go overboard on the running like I did it can mess up your bodily functions, and then you'll have even less energy than you started with because things wont be working right.

yadda yadda yadda, anywayz good luck with everything kimpy. Have fun with it, don't feel like you HAVE to do anything.

JohnCollins

Good for you! But don't start soon, start now. I was tired tonight, and cranky. I was tense. I didn't want to go to karate class. I knew, however, I'd feel better afterwards and I'd sleep great tonight. I'd be relaxed.

You gotta try it to understand how it will make you feel. If you wait until you feel like it, you'll never do it. If you do it, you'll always "feel like it" regardless of how you feel because you'll know how it will make you feel. . .afterwards. . .I think. I confused myself with that one.

Go slow. Tiny weights, good form, not too much. You'll like it. I promise.

Angry over a fork?

Sometimes DG makes noises...annoying noises...and wont stop. By the time he stops, my heart rate is about 275bpm and I'm sweating bullets pissed at him.

Then he makes the most annoying face in the world, and I laugh. I cant stay mad at friends very long.

I'd say good job on starting lifting, but YOU"RE ****ING SUPPOSED TO BE LIFTING. Dammit. 3000 posts and you havent moved a pound. Shame? No, not shame. When I find the word, I'll post it.

Uhhhh.....good job.

Budiak

fought sarah off. it was tedious. we were trying to bite each other so we had to fight to protect ourselves from being bit while still trying to bite.

Ok, Sarah is either a dog or a really sexy workout partner.

OH MY GOD HOW IN THE WORLD DID I MISS THIS??

Why didn't anyone say something?!

Kimpy, praise the lord hallelujah amen I am still an atheist, you've got a real live journal! I'm so excited. You've got to hook me up with one of those B&R guest passes so I can come work out with you. How ace would that be?

The fork is mine, biatch. ;)

Jane

A little red in the face? Why yes, Kim, you've got me. All those water bottles in my bag? It's vodka, baby, vodka.

Seriously though, I'm fine. Giddy over the stupid boy, but fine. Angry as f*ck that I have been carless for the last week and some, but fine. Annoyed that i have to spend Thanksgiving away from home and have to miss school, but fine.

I'll call you when I get back.

And Jane offered free lessons?

Kimpy, don't worry about people laughing at you. When I started, I was 150#, in a brace that immobilized my entire torso and had absolutely no strength. Needless to say, I was laughed at. Five months later, people were coming to me for weight training advice.
Do this for you and to hell with everyone else.
Okay, pep talk done...;)

Your gym doesn't throw in a couple free training sessions when you join? Even with a poor trainer that would help, in my opinion.

O god kimpy instead spending your time trying to find reasons or weird excuses to not lift, spend it lifting, at least you'll be getting somewhere.

And ill beat the living hell out of those evil kids if they laugh at you

Hey Kimpy,

That Forensic science sounds great. That must be interesting as hell. I mean, you get loads of stuff on television about Forensic science so as far as research goes, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Don't worry too much about the gym. as soon as you get started, the sooner you'll be lifting heavy weights. You can do this in as little as 3 weeks.

Why waste time on a treadmill when there is always lifting to be done?!

Do what you feel is right, but i would strongly reccomend lifting.
