I was just about to ask this, as my mom always told me to eat honey when i had a sore throat (some old Russian home remedy or something).

We have a few of these things in my household, like drinking tea and eating onions and sh*t. Through research i discovered that all of these things have antioxidants or bioflavonoids or something else, and that it isn't witchcraft.

True. Try heating some raw garlic when you have a cold, it's miraculous.

Fruit and vegetables have vitamins, minerals, phyto-chemicals and some degree of (non-vitamin) anti-oxidants - some to a greater extent than others.

All good reasons to eat your greens, kids.

Not to mention tasty little enzymes.
