Ok here goes, today i started the 9 week westside routine found at elitefts.
Week one:
Day 1 ME squat
Good Morning: max at 80kgs => 176lbs
Glute Ham Raises: 3x10
Reverse Hypers: 3x8
Pulldown Abs: 5x15
Straight Leg Raises: 5x15
after about 3 months out of the gym i started again a bit over a week ago, did a few full body workouts just to get back into the swing of things. never really stuck to a routine before so im goign to try hard this time.
*goodmorning probably looks crap, thats only the second time ive tried them, everything else went fine.

DE bench:

145lbs
Lying dumbell tricep extension:
3x8w/33lb d'bells
Dumbbell side raise
3x10w/ 27.5lb d'bell
B/over dumbbells side raise
3x10w/ 33lb dumbbell
i'll try to start this damn journal again. today i nearly died in the gym, felt liek i was going to pass out or throw up, was feeling a bit dizzy towards the end. BUT i had to finish working out, maybe it was a little stupid but i was fine in the end. this westside thing definately seems to be working well, but ill post some more on monday and tuesday.
with diet, im following my growing boy needs a lot of food plan, ive tried to never knock back any food thats offered unless its really bad, basically eating like its going out of fashion.
sleep is a bit of a nightmare at the moment (no pun intended) its holidays at the moment so the last couple of nights ive been up till 4am, not good, only to be woken up but my bruh the drummer playing latin music aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.
Latty if you see this again, how high should the box be for the box squats??

Make sure they get you below parallel. You'll have to measure for your exact build.

today was basically the same as teh first post BUT for the goodmornings i used a belt at the end. it feels so much better, i used 198lbs and felt a lot easier. i didnt want to go way heavier as i am fairly new to good mornings so ill see hwo it goes.
the belt was really ace, ive never used one before this, i htink ill only use it for very heavy things.
there was one guy in the gym who had a belt but he used it for bench, curls, lat pulldowns and everything else, i had to laugh.

ahhh CRAP! i missed DE squat today. ive got an english assessment tomorrow that is really tricky, but i found out that im coming 4th (up from 2nd last a year ago:D) so i want to keep doing good. damn damn damn, ill just do it tomorrow, then DE bench on saturday.
Diet consists of eating as much as i can.

went to the gym today, i havent been for about a week coz of crap getting in the way. i didnt go back to the routine, just tried some exercises i havent done for ages, and DAMN it felt good, i think the rest really helped, now im ready to unleash again.
i cant remember everything, there was some chestpress machine or somethign which i hardly ever use, i put the pin at teh bottom and pumped out some reps, it felt so good. also standing calve raises with nearly 400lbs so i was happy with that.

today was beautiful.
ive been trying to military press with dumbbells (shoulder press??) but just couldnt overcome the 66lb dumbbells. today i was determined and fully psyched, curled the bastards up, rested on the knees, gave them a little kick up to the shoulders and blasted out the reps. goddamn it felt so nice to conquer those b-tches. anyways, lately westside and the gym got messed up with school and other crap, BUT;
WESTSIDE PROGRAM RESUMES FIRST LIGHT MONDAY YEEHAW!!!!!
NB-stfu to anyone for laughing at my 66lb dumbells.

just went tooday and had a crack at deadlifting, i thought i would up to a max but ran out of damn time, had to leave at 308lbs. felt kindof easy, annoyed me that i had to go. i might work on my grip a bit maybe. should be deadlifting on ME day soon though.
oh, something that pissed me off- im filling up my water bottle when this girl i know from school walks in to do some pump class or some other crap, just gave her a wave but she ran over like she was hysterical saying how big my arms were, right in the middle of the f--king gym. i was a bit embarassed and then she kept looking, so i told her to piss off coz she was annoying.
mmmmmmmmmmm my house smells so nice at the moment, im on my own so i bought a huge steak to eat.

hit the gym again today, starting the westside program on monday if i can work it around kickboxing. tried deadlifting again, probably not a very good idea but i was still keen after yesterdays efforts, anyways tried to work up to a max again, i know it was stupid. so i got to 330lbs and tried to lift, couldnt lock out at the end, hands were slipping and the bar went lopsided. from now on im sticking to the routine and then ill take it from there. it felt like my head was going to explode.
haha saw the arm girl at school today, we are in 2 classes together but didnt say anything, anyways i think thats all in the past now

after a few months of being unbelieveably lazy its time to get serious, ive decided to use the 5x5 push pull legs method, something like this:
PUSH.
Flat BB Press 5 x 5
Dips 5 x 5
One-arm Laterals 3 x 6-8
Skullcrushers 5 x 5
PULL.
Chins 5 x 5
One-arm DB Rows/maybe bent over BB 5 x 5
Shrugs 3 x 6-8
BB Curls 5 x 5
Hammers 2 x 6-8
LEGS.
Squats 5 x 5
Deadlift 2 x 6-8
Goodmornings 5 x 5
Calf Raises 3x20
going to the gym in a couple of hours, pull day! numbers will be extremely embarassing for a while:D hmm leg day might need some attention, ill see how it goes, i might have to change something.
just weighed myself at home and sitting pretty at 200lbs, however i see myself as a fat ***** and hope to change that, post some before pics later. started to get depressed around mirrors:D
school has been really full on lately but that should be slowing down around now so i can spend some decent time in the gym.

Looking good man. Routine looks more similar to mine than I thought. Looks good though nice and basic. I am confident that youll get good results with it as I have. It lacks an OH pressing movement which believe it or not has really helped me delts out. Theyre looking great, nice and thick next to my traps. Love the way that my delts looked pumped up after laterals. ;);)
Anyway I am getting carried away hehe. Keep this journal up man I really am looking forward to your gains, etc.

-heaviest dumbell in the gym and it was too easy either switch to BB rows or Belial rows :D
DB shrugs (90lbs) 8,8,8
-again will have to prolly use BB for these

I too think you need a compound movement for your shoulders. If you are only going to do one exercise for shoulders on push day......consider military presses or seated dumbbell overheads as opposed to those laterals. Good luck!

Nice workout McBain! Looking good man. Nice strength and everything like that. Keep up the hard work. I personally dont think that you need an OH press I feel that its just redundant on your shoulders. Flat BB presses for example hammer your front delts, and so do dips. Doing an OH pressing movement would just be excess. Side-laterals hit your side-delts and most pressing movements for your chest hit your front delts.

sorry Monstar i totally misread your first post, military press is probably my favourite exercise, ill see how it goes with just the laterals, i haent really used them much in the past. however then i also agree with BennettBoy (welcome to teh journal:D ) and think that a compound movement would be better, is it possible to alternate weeks of laterals and military press, would this inhibit strength and/or hypertrophy??
*i felt like a weak biach in the gym:(

-well lets not mention the dips, for start the gym took away the dip bars and also i totally forgot they were in the routine so i just did some military press and they went like 50kg for 5,5,5,5,5 so that was a little better.
One-arm Laterals 3 x 6-8
-forgot i wasnt doing 5,5,5,5,5 for these so i used 1kg for 5 then 15 for 5 then 17.5 for 5 then 17.5 for 5 then 12 for 5, dont ask me why.,
Skullcrushers 5 x 5
-felt wierd for some reason, only used 66lbs which was a bit girly buti was pretty tired and wasnt in the mood to exhert anything.

*whole bunch of people from school came to the gym and looked ackward in there but there were also a few big fellas and it was ace just chatting and stuff, its nice to be a part of that:)

Keep up the journal McBain. I just made some minor modifications to my push/pull/legs program with 5x5. You should check it out in my journal. In yesterday's journal entry look in my Comments and I believe I have my new routine. Less exercises with 5x5 and one less rest day I think is the main difference.

ok last night (around midnight) i decided to have a workout, the gym was shuy so workout was as follows.
PULL
Chins 5,5,5,4,4
-done on a back pergola made with some kind of rough ass wood, cut my hands up a bit.
Heater Rows 5,5,5,5,5
-went to the garage and found a heavy ass old oil heater do did rows with that. was ackward as hell to grip and was really hard on the old hands aswell.
Boxing Bag Shrugs 8,8,8 (each side)
-stood on a step, on a chair and held the boxing bag in each hand (alternated) bastard to grip.
D/B Curls 5,5,5,5,5 (one arm at a time)
-back to standard weights, very thankful for that, some poxy weight its al i could find, probably 40lbs or so.
D/B Hammers 5,5,5,5,5
same as above.

Hehe nice improvisations, reminds me of when I went to prison a few year back, here are some of the excercises I used when I couldnt get to the gym as I had a job five days a week.
Pillow shrugs, lateral and front raises, curls and tricep extensions ( filled with 2 litre bottles filled with water and books ). Got some awesome pumps off these hehe..memories.
Bunk bed pullups( well kind of, I`m on bottom bunk holding onto grid and pulling myself towards it ) lol...couldnt get much movement but they worked well for my upper back.
Decline press ups, feet on bottom bed hands on floor. Chair dips with pillow full of stuff in my lap, not much resistance but worked quite well.
After being shown how to deadlift by one of the gym orderlies I actually tried deadlifting my friend off the floor by gripping his sweater LMFAO, as you might guess it didnt work but we had a laugh trying. Ahhh young and stupid, as you can guess this is where my love of training started.

was pumped early in the day but fell in a heap later on, training turned to slop.
Squats-started off with really light as i havent done them for ages then went something like this@220lbs

all in all felt pretty rewarding, there were three unbelieveably beautiful women working out (nearly as pretty as sav) and some big guys aswell so it was a very nice change to the usual chin up bar freaks and the abdominiser ball wierdos that usually clog up everything.

the preacher guy is quite odd, he used to go to thte same gym and aws heaps weak and pretty skinny ages ago then lleft and went to a different one, he came back and has goten a massive chest, except he always wears a few jumpers while training, and his strength is absolutely crazy.
seeing as we are at teh gym about the same time and we sortof live near each other i thought about askign if he wanted to train together, but as we were doing the preachers he
a) talked for ages about meaningless crap
b) told me that preachers really helped to peak the biceps (i pretended not to hear)
c) asked if i trained legs, seeing as he didnt
d) talked too much
i decided to not to put forward my suggestion.
and lmao today a friend came up to me and asked how long should someone rest for between lifting weights, i told him at least 72 hours and hes like oph really, ive been training arms for an hour each day FOR THE LAST NINE DAYS! but coz he's new to all this i told him about recovery and overtraining and all that other basic stuff, we might even work out a plan for him, i just laughed though when he told me. hes like oh my wrist is really sore and i made a crude joke then he told me about his weights that hed been using and i laughed again before explaining some stuff.

shocker, trainining is fairly off and on still at the moment, im just going to see how it all goes until november 6th, which is my last hsc exam!!! (hopefully get to eventually do law or somehtign like that somewhere in sydney) then im freee to do whatever, and i plan to hit the weights extremely hard after that. ill see how it goes, chins seem to be getting better, and a mate has devised some dip bars ot go into the power rack so should work nicely.
im going to tell the g/f that if she wants to see me she has to come to the gym:D

today i was driving home and i saw my g/f driving in the opposeite direction to my house, anyway just for fun i drove past my house and went around some roundabouts just for the hell of it. she followed in her car, anyway i turned around and went to drive home and this oldish guy runs out of his house, onto the road adn sortof punches my car as i dodge the maniac. anyway i look in the mirror and as my g/f drives past him he kicks her car, im like wtf? anyway we jutrs drove back to my house and then a couple of minutes later he pulls up in his car and is liek this isnt a bloody racetrack you know etc etc are you bloody stupid ive got kids. (my g/f was hiding by this time) anyway i said man we werent speeding or driving dangerously so whats your problem.
then hes liek i have 20 years driving experience, how long have you been driving etc etc (then my g/f decided to join us) anyway this went on for a little while and i was just like why teh f-ck did you run out in front of a car that was really f-cking stupid (normally i wont talk to someone like that) anyway then i just said have a good day, mate. and he drove off. i felt kindof bad, i mean we werent being dangerous but i respect the fact that he thought we might have been and the fact that his children are probably the most important things in his life. anyway it was the most eventful thing today.
might have to go to a new gym on monday, how exciting.

Wow sounds like a total a*shole. I had a similar experience on Haloween. I was driving around this neighborhood with my girlfriend in the car and we were looking for her sisters and brother. I was going probably 10-15 MPH in the neighborhood. Well I guess some dad thought since there were kids trick-or-treating I should slow down. He was like "Hey! Slow down!" I honked and stuff. strange happenings
monstar i think cars are more trouble than they're worth:
2 nights ago at work about 2am, my car was parked across the street form where i was working and this guy walked past and was trying to steal the side mirror i shouted at him then did my best to be intimidating and walk towards him like i was going to give him a knuckle sandwich for trying to steal my mirror but he ran off.
then last night, i was driving home, for about the last five minutes i was driving behind this car (throught residential areas and stuff) which was just a coincidence. anyway when we went different ways i kept on driving home but passed them again in the opposite direction. they did a u-turn and followed me home, drove a few houses down from me then turned around and left. dont know if it was another coincidence, they seemed to go out of their way to follow me though. kindof pissed me off.
finally got in touch with my canadian friend carla

I really like it so far. Combined with heavy sets first, it's treating me just fine.
I would definitely stick to your original plan. One of the purposes of PUSH-PULL-LEGS is that it forces you to only work each muscle group once per cycle. This way you can go all out. Moving PUSHES to PULL day and so forth will change that, and you may end up over-training...triceps for instance (PUSH day with skulls, then dumbbell press the next workout). Your DB press will suffer without a doubt as you shoulders and tri's will not be fully recovered from your PUSH workout.

I think that you should stick to the original plan. I really like the push/pull/legs type of split. This way youre pretty much guaranteed that nothing will be overtrained. I mean youre going to be hitting back and bis on Pull, chest and tris and maybe delts on push, and then legs on legs. So everything gets trained sufficiently if you ask me.

last weeks workouts went fine (ive been a little busy to post) but on friday i thought i would try some front squats for a change (first time so i had to be gentle) to cut a long story short i *****ed my lower back pretty hard (it had been annoying me for a while before this happened but this seemed to make things worse.
no more squats ever in my life. squats = evil.
and it wasnt with a heavy weight that i hurt myself and was watching the form really careful- pretty slow.
goddamn friggin pieceof**** back.
maybe ill go see a physio.

A good rule of thumb on daily calorie intake would be 12* bw for cutting. I recommend slowly decreasing your calories until you get to this amount. Monitor your weight loss and try to aim for a weight loss of about a pound a week. You can add in cardio on your off days but I would see how the weight loss progresses from diet alone,, and then add in cardio as the weight loss slows. Post your diet and I will be happy to offer my lowly opinion. Good luck and hope the back is feeling better.:)

thanks bradley: this diet thing is more involved than i first thought- while im trying to get organised im staying away from the bad foods and trying eat 6 small meals a day.
its 1am on sunday and i have to work in one hour (newspaper job).
last week i only hit the gym on monday, getting sick and dealing with my backs issues forced me to stay away.
but will be hitting the gym tomorrow. im excited :).

If you did buy this particular brand then I would up the carb content for post-workout. Is it online? What are the ingredients? From the info that I have I would buy it and add in some dextrose or maltodextrin. More information would be helpful.

I am sure that it would be ok post workout but unless you can get it for almost nothing I would go with something else. It did have whey listed first so that would be the majority of the protien but I am not for sure what the carbohydrate polymer would be. Also saw that it has Psyllium Husks listed in the ingredients which I believe are a source of fiber which would not be what you want post workout due to the slowing of digestion. I know this doesn't help you very much but I don't want to say yes when I am not positive about the product. Most people say protien is protien and go with what the best deal is. If there is a different I feel like it would not be very significant.

im really finding the resume hard, i cant think of job skills- here are the jobs
ice cream shop work- senior basically in charge throughout shift and have to count all the money at the end, as well as being in charge and all that. as well as makign food, customer service etc
newspaper job- newspapers arrive, carry inside, wrap, make up subagents newspapers for other shops
one week job- basically moving stock around for a guy, pricing etc
AHHHHHHH i cant make it sound polished, isearched for your resume thread monstar but it didnt really help, maybe im just tired- but ive gotta send it tomorrow!

Finished the CV, thanks for the help iluded- dropped it in so ill see what happens (fingers crossed) im looking for another job coz for the first time in about 3 years i didnt get a shift at my other job and the next week im only getting one. but then my boss called up and was really apologetic so i kindof felt bad- maybe ill stay and just work once a week (if i get another job).
i cut my finger on a knife- i was bored at work and was stabbing a cardboard box and kindof nailed myself in the process. did the same sortof thing 2 weeks ago with another knife, lots of blood. i just taped it up she was fine :)
the cold is pretty much all gone (still a tiny bit of a cough but hardly at all)
back is feeling a helluva lot better, ill just be extremely careful with anythign concerning my back from now on.
got my secret santa present from work, a santa hat and the most henious fluffy car dice the world has ever seen, bright green with teh words 'cool dude' written on them, the sad thing is they will probably double the value of my car just by being in there :)

im horrible at updating this.
had a push and a pull workout since then, only thing i can really remember is that for push i was getting 190lbs for reps on the bench so that is coming along nicely. however now that im kindof back into the swing of things im evaluating my goals in the gym.
also trying to decide if i should defer university this year?
the course ive applied for is a double degree arts/commerce and is only 4 years so i could travel after i do that maybe?
life is just too confusing sometimes.

before i forget, i had a near death experience today. i was driving back from canberrra with my g/f and she was driving. anyway we were pulling out to join another road and had to cross a road with cars coming in the other direction, anyway because she was wearing sandals her foot slipped as we were crossing the road and the car was so close to stalling, it was a miracle that it didnt. it would have been ok except...
for the fact that there was another car (pajero of something) coming down the road that we wouldve been stuck on, probably going maybe 110-120 kilometres/hour (pretty fast) anyway we only just got going in time again and missed it by metres, if the car had stalled the pajero would have hit the drivers side door probably without the chance to break at all and it would have been almost guranteed that my g/f would have been killed and i would not be far behind. i cant describe the thoughts as a saw the car coming straight for us, it was almost like looking at death and i seriously thought to myself that i was going to die......
afterwards my g/f was pretty shaken but i acted like everythign was ok just so she would stay calm.......then maybe 10 minutes later it was like she had forgotten all about it but even now hours later im still left thinking what would have happened if the car had stopped.......
it happened because her sandals slipped and i said she shouldnt be wearing sandals driving anyway and that i wasnt going to drive anywhere with her wearing sandals anymore.......and guess what she said...........something along the lines of 'i guess youll have to walk then' i cant believe it- ill drive myself next time. she was so close to having an extremely serious accident and doesnt want to make sure it wont haen because she likes wearign sandals, i value my life over sandals any day of the week.

here's my dilemma.....
ive just finished school and have to decide what to do with my life. at first i thought i would take this year off and stay where i am living at home for maybe half the year and then travel overseas for the rest of it (i can get a british passport y'see) That is what i had in mind when i had no idea whatsoever what i wanted to do at university or anywhere else so i figured i would take some time off to think (i.e 2003) and then hopefully have made up my mind sometime in the future.....
but then i found a course at uni: arts/commerce that i think i would really like to do and applied for it at a couple of places (wollongong and ANU) the offers come out tomorrow (friday) so i am at a crossroads as to whether i should accept an offer (if i get one in the first place) so first theres a problem there...if i want to go to uni straight away.
also if i dont go to uni then i should be finding more work around here (i can apply for oen at the gym tomorrow) and one job that i already have has offered me more work this year but they are around here where ive been for the last 12 years. i thought i didnt want to leave the area so soon but now after a couple of months off im thinking its time for somethign different......but i just dont know.
also there is my girlfriend........the lives in canberra so pretty much if i stayed where i was of went to ANU then we would stay together..............but if i go to uni at wollongong then we will never see each other (shes at canberra uni) and its pretty likely that we will break up which is somethign that i dont want to do..............i know i should just do whatever makes me happy or whatever but theres too much damn choice.
other options ive considered recently are joining the police or enlisting in the army for three years.......i could do either of them later and have reasons for wanting to do both but also a lot of reasons not to do either, i spose really they are just things ive been not-really-seriously thinking about.
i think pretty much what it boils down to is:
Stay where i am this year:work a lot, travel later in the year, stay with girlfriend
OR
go to uni: prolly move out of home, break up with girlfriend.....
Also i dont know if i want to go straight to uniand have four more years of school, although there is the possiblity of a year in another country while still doing the degree which would be ace........i just cant decide and keep changing my mind it's frustrating
sonce i finished (in november) i've just had the attitude that i dont have to worry about any of this right now because noting is happening for ages......but now its all so soon and that when i wake up tomorrow i will have an offer from a university and i have to make a decision.........

Okay, now that you have been accepted to the course you want, does this change things for you???
I know you think you are confused and frustrated.....and that in itself is fantastic...because it means that a breakthrough is imminent. You just need to make a decision...once you have, everything else will fall into place. It really doesnt matter if down the track you change your mind....In order to get to this point, I'd way up what is more important to you in life....have a good hard think about what your passions are, what juices you and what will make you happy. Then you have take action toward that goal..... :D.

I love the usual weight room conversation. Although, I do avoid it at all costs...this one guy asked to work in on the pressdowns once, so I said ok. He did whatever, then I jumped in and did the same weight he did, and he was like 4 times my size. The bastard's eyes lit up and he said 'Hey man, you put up some good weight!' So I shot him.
I just do freeweights now. Nobvody asks to step in.

worked today aswell (went gymming before) work was annoying as hell......... i was workign with a skinny tall white guy who likes to pretend he is black and my girlfriends littel sister who can sometimes be a pain but shes ok and my g/f herself was being wierd the standard answer to any question i ever ask her is......'its up to you' so when she asked if i wanted her to come in later i just said 'its up to you' and she got the ****s and went home......anyway she did come in but was still ****ty and i was liek do you want to wacth the sopranos later and she said do you only want to watch it because my tv is better or some crap......so i just said i dotn give a **** about the tv (i wouldnt normally swear) then after that finally we were normal again (wierd) but then later she was like i have to stay ovcernight in canberra on thursday to look for houses do you want to come? and i said i didnt know maybe and she went wierd again......sometimes i just think that whenever she doesnt get her own way or if i dont instantly agree with her she gets sulky. why am i even writing this?

Good job on the pressdowns MB! Got the whole and then some huh? Very impressive. How high does the stack go in your gym on the pressdown machine? In my gym it goes up to 200 lbs. which isnt too bad.

thanks for stopping by MOnstar; it wouldve been more impressive if the damn thing weighed more, i havent got a clue of the weight- it goes up from 5,10,15 etc up to 70- not sure if thats kg or lbs? whats more confusing are the new machines that are just labelled 1-10?
thats why im going to start one handed pressdowns and stay away form most machines :thumbup:
i just woke up after 12 hours of sleep :eek: (slept on a lounge that was too small aswell)

Yeah McBain machines do get confusing. Which maybe 100 lbs. on my machine could be 130 on yours, etc. etc. That why I think freeweights are the best way to go. So we all can compare to one another, etc. At least on the big lifts.

Franji: i think thats sortof the matter aswell, as much as i tell her that things will be ok she alwasy thinks otherwise............she wasnt goign to come see me at work but she was in town anyway and came in. i said 'i think you should have dinner here' (in a fun sortof voice...not as an order or anythign) and she said 'i think you shouldve applied to canberra uni' in a friendly voice also but i could tell she meant it......things havent been great with us lately and i wish she would understand and support whatever decision i make, i try to do if for her and i think its possible that she thinks that i dont care about her as much. anyway i got home from work and she had called just befoer so i called her and she said 'dont bother coming with me to canberra tomorrow' i said i wanted to go but she just said no. then i msg her whats the matter (didnt knwo if she was alseep) and she said she was sick of feelign liek this about us and that she didnt know what she wanted. so now she's feelign like crap and so am i, i dont know what would happen if we broke up (i mean im young but weve been together for 17months) but ill see what happens..........and remember to look myself in the mirror everyday and tell myself somethign positive. anyway i said she should sleep and let me knwo in the morning if she wanted me to go or let me know what was happening.
p.s to all ive decided to defer, reasons:
1. If i earn enough $$ i can travel overseas later and visit family in england (grandma recently diagnosed with cancer)
2. If i earn enough $$ this year then next year at uni i can get youth allowance from the government.
3.Gives me more time to think about what i want in life rather than rushing back into school.

weights at the end were pretty weak......diet was pretty crap today again...........wake up at 8, cold shower, no eating until 11 (2 pieces toast + smoothie) and that was pretty much it, although i had a skim milkshake later on and pizza for diner :(
now that ive sortof reached a goal (im still not entirely happy with teh bench) im goign to pay more attention to the other things that matter like my diet for example, will prolly buy osme vitamins etc maybe creatine and see what happens next.

how do i strengthen the bottom half of the benchpress? around the bottom (3,4 or 5?) inches above the chest? that is definately the weak spot.

for the moment im happy to concentrate on my strength but if im going overseas later in the year and i decided that i want to look good if im going to be representing my country :D

its really wierd........a couple of weeks ago i was working one shift a week and now that ive been offered more work at one job, this week ill be working monday, tuesday,wednesday,thursday,saturday,sunday....its crazy btu im not complaining becsuse if im ever going to get enough money to visit canada (and enough $$$for the wedding with sav) then ive gotta work my ass off now :)

its been nearly two weeks since i hit the gym.
since my membership ran out i just havent had the same eagerness to get into the gym.....the new job is ok bu tthe girls can get a little bitchy sometimes.
also found out that the chica that was workign in the gym before is liek a sports model :eek:
CAR UPDATE
well i had the alternator checked out and they said it was ok (last week) so i had the car towed to the auto elec. to have the wiring etc checked out. anyway before the truck came i somehow broke the door (AGAIN! HOLY F-CK I AM LIEK KING DOOR WRECKER /outbursdt) anyway so the auto elec was goign to call to see if i wanted that fixed aswell but i was workign so they fixed it anyway. im glad they did tho.
the alternator did need a rebuild and i think there was some didgy wiring in there aswell but thats all sorted and its got a 12 month warranty now.
total cost: $330 :eek:
the door added abotu $100 to the total cost so that was ok.....it seems to be idling a bit funny now tho ill see what happens.

anyway....i called her and we decided to see each other before she went away so i went to pick her up (it was torrential rain while we were driving and only one windscreen wiper was working so i had to lean over to the other side where she was just to see the road in front......it was so dangerous but ill leave the rant about my car for later)
anyway we had a great time together and i bought my sister apresent etc we were just chatting and enjoying each others company got somethign to eat etc.........
then i drove her home coz she was going out later to watch her b/f play basketball- here comes the cranky part.
he called while i was there at liek 3pm and was liek 'oh dont let me interrupt you two.....ill pick you up at six' (hed driven past and seen my car but didnt come in wtf) she was liek whatever. then he called 5 mins later and was like im picking you up at 5 so be ready or some crap.
anywa we just kept talking and having a good time until she hda to have a shower and i left her to get ready......i gave her a hug good bye (or three) and that was that...except i left somethign in her bag that i needed for work (just paper crap) so i got home and called her to sya ill coem pick it up while shes watching basketball (the new gym is right next ot teh b'ball courts) so i went to the gym then wqaited for them to turn up.
they both arrived and he just went straight in nto sayign hi and she came over and just gave me the paper i needed and said i cant talk to you because (my b/f) is heaps ****ty at me because we were together today. it just pissed me off so hard......
im not noramlly one to disliek a person really...i mean i get along with most people pretty easy and am never looking for trouble or anythign but i really dont liek this guy at all..........first he treats her liek crap (i am confused why she is still with him and i know that it is entirely her decision to be with him) and i asked her why she still was with him and she said last time (they were together a while ago but broke up) he just kept callign her and coming over etc and she couldnt get rid of him (it sounds pathetic and i knwo she does liek him but he is teh most saddest presonm ive ever met) and you knwo what also annoys me about this guy....
if i ever see him in teh street or somethign he acts liek we are best friends................me being me acts ncie back to him always even though he is a worm. he was beign a dick to oen of my other firiends and tried to be all chummy to him at a party once he was face-to-face but this guy just said f-ck off you are pathetic dont talk to me (i cant seem to say that......maybe im a pansy?)
also he has no shoulders and is skinny **** i mean he bought a home gym and hasnt used it once? he wantrs to look liek vin diesel but wont get off his scrawny ass........also once he told his g/f that he was goign to put my head through a brick wall wtf?? i really dont liek this guy at all......
maybe im just being too involed with other peoples affairs and i spose its really none of my business to interfere..........btu when they split up last time he slapped her and threw her to the ground no sh-t that was the most angry ive ever been when she told me that and i thought she would move on after that.........
......mayeb im just cranky that this frriend of mine is insane going back to this guy and i cant do anythign about it? maybe i care about her too much? i knwo my g/f does get jealous of her and i know that there are things between us that i dont have with my g/f but im sure ill cope.
btw today i had thai for dinner....the best customer service i have ever experienced seriosu...they were the nmicest ladies adn the food was so good btu i think after a little while i get really sick of thai food (like 30mins or so) but it was so nice.
overseas update
-y'see my parents and sister are going over to france/englad in september and they asked me at dinner if i wanted to come with them............this pretyt much means that if i go with them they will pay for my airfare but ill have to see.....they work so hard (seriosly helped my sister all through 5 years of university) and now my bro is leavign home they will also be supporting him a lot also, all the time they put their children first before them and i know they offered to pay for airfare etc but i dont knwo if i feel a littel guilty taking it seeing as they could spend the money on themselves but they said that is would be nice to go as a family......except i will stay trhere when they go home. i dont know i spose i just really appreciate my parents and probably dont let them know that very often.

(p.s im still pissed off about that w a n k e r guy.....she did say though that now she is moving and he said he wasnt going to visit her that they would break up....but i still dont like the guy..i mean he used to delete my number from her mobile, i knwo she should stand up for herself but i cant help it)

also i am thinking about getting a tattoo on my leg...liek the calf muscle and a big long twisting tattoo........i dont know why im thinking about this but are there any thoughts?
also i think ill be still going to the new gym, even though it was a bit hot and i was getting some odd stares from richard simmons' twin i think i like it there (and tey have pics of hotties in the changerooms)
also another friend who is in england (GAP year) got a tattoo....the freakin chinese symbol for happiness on his back...i mean its veyr nice but hes a littel crazy i think.

I know its hard to sit by and watch your good friend and this guy....but until she gets sick to death of the jealousy & reaches some type of threshold you are wasting your breath.... He is acting the way he does because he is obviously insecure and its all about him and has nothing to do with you... Just be there to support her is all you can do.
Interesting how you have attached so much emotion to it though ;).
I tossed up about getting a tatoo with my best mate.... mine was going to be quite discreet though... so I can choose to reveal it or not..still thinking about it actually...:angel:.

After Valentine's Day no excuses. :) Get thee to a gym. Seriously though sometimes think get really hectic so I can understand, but just remember to find your way back there eventually. Sonner rather than later. Take care and no rally driving on public roads;)

bradley, i started my diet strictness again on saturday at 1am (its now 7 minutes later and i had a glass of light milk. one big object stopping me going ot the gym was that ive been a bit povo lately and didnt want to shell out huge amounts of money to go to a half-ass gym.
i will be doing lots of cardio from now on- a rough push pull legs split but emphasizing my aerobic endurance and hopefully lose some bf in the process.....i still look like a fat mess.
also diet will be first and foremost as a part of this plan....i have to stop being so unrestrained with my diet. hopefully oneday i can look myself in the mirror knowing that im not pudgy and look decent.
sliding in the rain is just too much fun!
my g/f is getting a tattoo.........shes getting the ohm sign or somethign i think its a hindu sign??? i wonder though.......she found the design last wek because its the same one alyssa milano has on her wrist.....
also she is not in the slightest bit religious....this ohm sign carries no special significance
i ask her why she wants a tattoo and she says 'just because'
she keeps asking my opinion and to be honest i said it looked a bit like a snail from the side and then she had doubts or some crap....so i just said that it shouldnt really matter what i think of it, i mean shes getting branded for life and it realy is a decision she has to make entirely herself.

sometimes i think she can be a drama queen.......after she started talkign to me again she said she didnt feel comfortable opening up to me but then five minutes later she was back to normal....i almost felt like leaving right then and not coming back.
ofcourse she was sh-tty when i came over the first time.....after a while she said she was sorry but then did exactly the same thing again? maybe because weve been together for so long that i cant think what it would be like without her but right now this is a pretty screwed up realationship. she expects things to be so mcuh like other people she knows.....eg this guy does this for his girlfriend, why dotn you? i diont know how much longer this will last.
