I purchased some rye bread today after reading the label, it sounds like very good muscle building assistance fuel.
Rye is much lower than other breads and carbs on the gi list, its nutrients are as follows:
all per 100g
Energy: cals: 155
Protein: 5.4g
Carbs: 30.2g
Fat: 2.2g
Fibre: 7.7g!
and on top of that it tastes good too, it has a sweetish texture to it and provides an excellent fibre source to prevent all that protein clogging up your pipes :)
has anyone else tried it? what are your views?
