View Full Version : Ignorance about AS
Do some of you guys find that others who are into the BB scene just randomly bring up AS use without you ever mentioning it?
I am amazed at the stupidity and ignorance some people display about their so called knowledge of AS. For example tonight...I am at work and a guy I work with who works out at the same gym as I do comes up to me and just starts talking about steroids. I played dumb like I knew nothing about them. I then asked him what would be good for strength gains since my strength seems to have plateaued. Get this...he tells me to take 60mg of nolvadex a day and my strength will greatly improve. He claimed it is the "best steroid" for strength gains. He then goes on to tell me that he has done over 20 cycles and his most recent cycle will consist of 100mg of nolvadex a day, 200mg of Anadrol a day, 200mg of stanazol EOD, and 45mg of dbol a day. Some people literally should be removed from the gene pool...I think this guy is one of them.

A, uhh....'ex-friend' of mine, who seemed to know everything, who claims to have at one point benched 385lbs but now is just a skinny, fat slob(and in fact, since I'd known him, he was never big at all), claims to know everything about steroids. Well the proof of his ignorance came out when I started asking questions. Even a proven bull**** artist couldnt fake this one. What a jerkoff.
He asked me what I bench, I responded 'I deadlift 295', and he was like '....wha?'. There wasnt much of a conversation after that.
Dude, that reminds me of a scene in that ****ing new Bond movie that is out.
There is this chick who is a championship fencer and she won the medal by default because 'Her oppened OD's ON STEROIDS'.
....Oh yeah, you need a ****load of steroids to win a fencing match, yeah. As soon as I heard that, I hated the whole movie. Not only was the movie idiotic, horribly acted, and written for a seventh grade homework assignment but they obviously have no idea about the way steroids work and about the virtual impossibility of an overdose. They rely on the complete ignorance of the audience in order for them to believe this line, and it was extremely insulting to my intelligence. It was just so...GOD It pissed me off. Like it'd be cute to mention a steroid overdose or something. Haha! Oh yes, you got me! Quite cute. Oh another James Bond movie? PASS.
ANd one of my friends brought it up one time at the dinner table for some reason, because it was a small subject in a tv show he was watching. It was that idiotic show where the guy got electrocuted and went back in time into his young body with his 35 year old mind and experience, so the guy was in his high school class and there is a football player giving a report about the virtue of steroids. So the main character stand up and valiantly gives the 'truth' about steroids in rebuttal, explaining that they shrink your balls, make you angry, make you hairy, covered with zits, etc. My friend says 'Yeah, ebcause you know back then in the 80s, they were stupid and didnt know anything about steroids so they thought they were good, you know?"
Well, I couldnt stand up and call him an ******* or anything in a restaraunt, and explain that all of that is total bunk, because , well, nobody believes it even though the science is so solid. I know about steroids, countermeasures, sides, chemicals, etc. I'd say a good...10% of the population actually knows jack **** about gear, the otehr 90% is the *******s and even some morons who take the **** and dont know what they're doing. Those 10% of the population is almost never believed, they are generally disrespected by ignorant slobs and usually referred to as 'roid boys' or whatever, regardless of use. The 90% who have never read a single word in research about steroids seem to know everything, dont they?
****, I hate people. All of them.
ROFL at the nolvadex!
..nice chest in your avatar G-B

I hate the new bond film too. Terrible terrible film. Hollywood have killed it and the director wants shooting.
and I constantly get the "steroid *****" whether it be a question or a sly insult. I just play dumb most of the time. Unless it's a fellow bodybuilder.

G-B bro I get the same $hit all the time but funny enough it's always by someone who is not particularly impressive. So of course they must tell you of all their increadible superhuman lifts which they can no longer do....and of course how they were completely natural but everyone thought they were on steroids.

Really? The area in which i live see AAS as the 'unknown', nobody ever mentions it, i havent used yet as i consider myself too young.
The only time AAS has come up is on my degree course and the so-called side-affects. and all kind of stupid questions come up. They see steroids as one substance!

In this one episode of the Family guy, Peter helps his friend cheat in the special Olympics by slipping steroids into his friend's water bottle.
He walked into a nutrition store and snuck behind the counter, and stole a little bottle with 'STEROIDS' written on it. I was so at odds with myself, I didnt know whether to laugh at ignorance, or be angry at ignorance.
I laughed.
