View Full Version : fat free cottage cheese
i've noticed that the fat free cottage cheeses have alot more additives than the lowfat versions, and also has more sugar per serving than the low fat. should i avoid the fat free kind for this reason?

Anything non-fat or low in fat tends to make up for it with more sugar/carbs. As for cottage cheese, either is fine.

I won't touch the fat free stuff myself but I like the 1% fat stuff. Just for flavor.
I'm always suspicious of things that are "fatty" foods that are re-built fat free. Usually they have to do something to make up for the fat flavors.

I actually bought some the other day. Personally I am not going to buy it again. It seemes a bit unflavourful, IMO.

I haven't seen the fat free here in Canada at the stores I frequent. I always by the 1%. Tastes great.
