View Full Version : Small Tomato equivalent
So can a small(2 inches) tomato be equal to one tbsp. of Heinz Tomato Ketchup when it comes to nutritional information? I tried looking up on the Heinz site for nutritional information but couldn't find any. Oh and yes, the Heinz ketchup bottle which I have does not have a nutritional label. If you are wondering why it does not have, its because I live in India and in India nutritional labels aren't required for food products.
Thanks

Holy crap dude no nutrition labels! Im from california the home of labels and that just sounds wierd. I am a kechup fiend and i would venture to say that a small tomato has far more nutritional value than that of some kachup. Due to the kechupizing process and all....

raw vegetable has more nutrients and has more fiber and less sugar in them (sugar is usually added to ketchup). Use ketchup as a flavoring and don't worry too much about the nutrition of it or the calories. Unless you drown your food in ketchup, it is pretty much negligible.
Thanks for the informative post, Tiare
