Just wondering. It was easy going from fat to average but with fat guy metabolism, getting the sixer seems difficult to say the least.

A six pack is difficult for most anyone, IMO.

yup, I had a 33% BF and then i trained hard enough to get down to about a 7%. It took about a 2 years difference.

OMG thats great. You just have to keep at the training, and that damn below maintenance diet huh?

correct me if I'm wrong but the more muscle one has the easier it is to get sub 10% right?

so if your having trouble getting to that full 6-pack, put on 10 more lbs of muscle and it should show easier.

When I graduated from college I was a 235 lb tub of goo. Now I diet down to around 200 lbs with a nice 6-pack every spring. during the winter I get back up to 225+ lbs but it is a much leaner 225 lbs. Training is important but diet is the #1 factor in shedding body fat IMHO. Formulate a diet and training plan, pick a time frame (12 weeks works for me) and commit to your plan 100% for the duration. No exceptions! No excuses!
That's how you get a nice lean muscular physique.

I've had the six, but I didn't start off all that fat. I was small, but fat.. if that makes any sense to you. No real muscle at all.

I've been all over the place weight wise. I've been fat and I've been lean, only to let myself get fat again.
Once I'm ready, I'll post up some pics of me from this past February where I was quite a bit different looking. But I'll warn you when they are coming cause they will not be staying up on the net for any longer than geez, 24 hours if even that.

And I'd like to add that I don't think weightloss itself is the tough part, it's the maintaining that is difficult for the majority of people.

I've been as high as 250, and as low as 195, right now, about 215, and relatively lean... it can be done without too much problem, but maintaining it for any length is a different story

I've found that I am much more apt to keep it off if I get rid of those last 10-15 lbs... you know what I'm talking about... the last 10-15 that nobody really notices that much difference except you. Like the difference between a nice firm chest, and one that's striated.

Been at 310, went down to 178. Now I'm at 200lb. Can't see a six pack at 200, but at 178 I was anemic looking.

I've been pretty damn close, I think I had like a 3 pack once.

Well, I've always been one can short of a six pack, but I went from about 30% bf to about...9-10%. Maintaining was very hard, but I kept it for a number of months. Of course I had no friends, was clinically depressed and an insomniac supreme, but that doesnt mean much....

For those that did it did you just cut continuously?

Or did you have to go through mini bulking cycle to regain lost muscle mass?
