Does anyone here wake up at night to snack? I know Cutler and alot of other pros wake up to eat something at night to help them gain/maintain mass. I'm curious about this, I'd like to try it, but I'm not sure if it'll pack on fat (since you'll go back to sleep and dont burn as much) or lean mass.

I've been contemplating this myself. I was thinking about waking up around 2 or 3 in the morning and maybe eating some cottage cheese and slamming a shake. However, you must remember that deep sleep is your body's most anabolic state, so interupting this may disrupt muscle repair/recover to some extent.

Until I find out more about this, I have concluded that I need my sleep more than anything. :)

This is something I do. Although I have a friend who took it to an extreme, waking up twice per night. Needless to say...he became fat as ****.

What do you eat/drink while you are up? I've always wondered this. I hesitate drinking a whey shake because, well, its whey and absorbs quickly, thus not lasting long. I need some suggestions.

Personally, I have CytoGainer in 2 cups of D milk...A little over a thousand calories.

Like he said sleep is important so why not just keep a shake handy or cottage cheese and if you do happen to wake up then you can eat. Otherwise just don't worry about it.
