View Full Version : packing your own pills

If you choose to buy some kind of powder in bulk and cap your own pills, are there any ways of accurately measuring the amount you put in there besides just knowing the size that the cap is intended to hold? The reason I ask that is because I know, for instance, that a 500mg cap can actually hold more than 500mg of substance.

For instance, I could get caps cheap at www.kilosports.com. They have all kinds of different sizes, but I'm wondering if those are meant to hold exactly that amount (well, give or take a few mg's) or should you take other measures? I'm not considering a substance in which individual mg's or mcg's matter so much as 50's or so of mg's (or, in other words, it'd be like using Vitamin C in which 1 mg, 5 mg, or whatever wouldn't really affect it, whereas with ephedrine or yohimbine, those 1 or 5 mg's really can affect it) so I don't need it to be perfect...just in that range.

Any help is coo', yo.

If you're going to be doing this a lot I think a SCALE would be a wise investment. Just a wild-assed guess though.

when i pack my own, i weigh say 20-50 pills empty , fill them, then re-weigh them and average the difference to get a per pill weight.

I don't know anything about loading pills. reloaded ammo though. Weighing the amount for each capsule will suck, unless your on death row with nothing better to do. You need to get a scale measure out the amount and find something that it fits in. Maybe plug the end of stray and cut it to length. Then just fill that each time to ge the correct amount.

K-Daddy, can you please tell me if you have already ordered anything from that site. Their prices are very atractive and I was thinking abouth buying some stuff from them, but won't if I'm not sure they are a legit company. Thanks.
