Everyone knows that you have to sleep a minimum of 8hrs per day to be fully alert and such. I myself get about 3-4hrs at night and about 1-2hrs nap time (not always)... :(
If it's not too much trouble, can you guys post what is the average amount of hours of sleep you get per night...

I get anywhere from 6-8. I was getting 4-5 with no naps but it was killing me. I feel much better now.

7-8 hours on a non-busy school night. 5-7 if I have a report or midterm/final due.
It's optimal for you to get a lot of sleep if you're bodybuilding.

6-7 on average ...sometimes less (3-4) sometimes more (8-9)
I'm an insomniac and have been forever...so unless I'm getting chemical help (pills or alcohol) I have a problem going to sleep.
Head coach of the Tampa Bay buccaneers gets about 2.5 - 3 hours a night fo sleep and he's always full of energy.
I think it depends all on your personal system and what YOUR body requires of you.
8-9 for me. Gruden is a FREAK, he doesnt sleep, and he cant eat dinner with his family because he cannot stand the crunching noises his kids make when eating :D

I generally feel best when I can sleep for 8-10 hours a night. When we workout hard and want our bodies to grow ... sleep is important. I can function on as little as 4 or 5 hours a night , but I wont be a happy camper or ready to hustle my butt to the gym!!!
I suggest we all do the best we can for our cicumstances...

7 to 10 hours per night. I cannot under any circumstances function on less that 7 hours. I turn into a brain-dead retard if I get less than 6.

6.5-7 when I am working. Sure I'd like more, but theres only so many hours in a day and you go stuff to do.

Why doesn't everybody try ZMA???
I'm starting it tonight and I've heard it helps with your sleep.
I'll keep you posted with the results.

I have gotten by on 3 but 9 is my optimum. I feel fantastic with 9...more than that and I feel sluggish.

Usually I average in at about 7 hours a night, 7-10 on weekends. If I nap, it's 3-4 hours.
I can function well with 4 hours of sleep, but no more than 11.
Usually 5 - 7 a night. I should get more but there is just too much stuff to do in a day.
