I have been taking creatine and protine for a while but just resently I started puting warm/hot water in to make it dissolve faster. Does this make a diffrence? I know this is may be a dumb question but I whould like to know. Thanks a ton!

Other than making the protein dissolve quicker (like you said) I don't think it makes a difference. Water is water. I could be wrong though.

Other than people saying it (creatine) goes bad if it sits around in a bottle of fluid all day, it's going to warm up inside you to body temp when it goes to be absorbed.
I'm a long time reader of these forums, I wont be shy anymore and will get a journal and whatnot before too long. I haven't lifted since high school (I'm 26), I hope to see some newbie "beginners luck" gains by the end of January. I've made myself a promise to not look like my 14 year old brother anymore.

If the creatine degrades to creeatinin(sp) then even if it does warm back up to body temp it will not matter. Creatinin will just be excreted by the body. This is the whole reason that liquid creatine will not work because creatine is not stable in liquid form.

If you drink it in cold water it's fine, but if you combine creatine and protein in warm water it becomes deadly poison:eek:

Doesn't cold cold water burn a handful of extra calories just warming it up? Like 5 or 6 heh?

its best to use warm water because it will completely dissolve the creatine. if u use cold water, it will take more water. and if the craetine isnt dissolved, it will be worthless to u

I dont think it would make a diffrence, but it would in how it tastes.

Water has a huge capacity to dissolve and keep solids suspended in it. Wouldn't make a difference in dissolving creatine in warm water or cold water unless you disolving it with like 5 ml of water.
Isn't warm water good for cutting because when you drink it you feel full?

I use to think this (and still do), but from doing some research your body burns calories to raise the temp of cold water to warm within your body. So I guess it's better to drink 2 glasses of cold water compared to 1 glass of warm water.

Also I know by taking Dextrose or Maltadextrin will also increase the uptake of creatine in the Muscles quickly
