Man, i hate those things. I can't seem to pull much weight. I was stuck at 85lbs for 3X8 for like 3 months, so I just quit doing them. Keep on if it works for you though.

I love both DB and BB rows. I usually do them together in a superset.

BB rocks. I've never cared for DB.

Hercule, weight's no big thing, it's all about the contraction.

I hate overhand BB rows. I don't feel like im doing anything or doing it wrong. Underhand works for me, but I don't know if it's as good an exercise with the underhand grip?

LoL, arn't you mister 315lbs bent over BB row? And you telling me weight is no big deal? I would like to at least LOOK like I am diong something when I do them. In fact, Jon laughed at me the other day, I did 315 on deadift for 3X5, and then I put 2 10's(total of 85lbs) on each side for rows...how awesome looking ;).

Lol, hey man. That's where I started out, struggling with 95 lbs for BB rows.

BB rows kick ASS. I'm about to pull 2 plates myself. When you start going heavy it makes you feel like a real man.

Besides, there is little more joyful activity than watching some cocky curl jockey get off of the bench and shine you on, then row more than he just benched. Bitches.

I've really upped my rows last couple of months. I was nervous to put much weight on, worried about my back. Use to bother me a little. I dropped my reps from 10 to 6-8 and only 2 sets. Back hasn't bothered me at all. I used to DL the bar, now I take It off a rack. That probably helped my back.
My sets of rows and bench are the same, 200. I am not sure if this means I have bad bench or bad BR, probably the first. Either way it makes me want to join a gym, so I can make fun of the curl jockeys. Need to find a really wussie gym first.

underhand grip is the only way i do them. overhand torques my wrists too much.

and underhand worked for dorian yates so how bad can it really be?

Although when Dorian revamped his style, he switched to overhand.
