Are granola bars a suitable complex carb. source?

They can be. The ones i have are basically oats and nuts...perfect. But watch out. Some are loaded with corn syrup, fruit preserves, sugar, etc.

mmmmm... Those Nature Valley Granola Bars are YUMMY!! There's only 11 g of sugar per bar too. :D

Haha...as I was reading your post I was reaching into my desk drawer for the box of Nature Valley I keep there. :D
I figure they keep for a long time and are good emergency snacks if nothing else is around. Gotta do what you can to avoid vending machine food at work.

The genola bars i have are basixally just made of oats and honey, whats honeys G.I rating anyone?:confused:

Well if the honey is added INTO the bar (which I assume it is) then you don't really need to worry about it. Just look at the grams of sugar per bar and make sure you're comfortable with the amount. ;)
