Since I have a lean build I need to bulk up so I went to local health food store a few days back, read up on some stuff and decided to give this 3 way combo a try

Pre workout - Pure Creatine Monohydrate
Post Workout - Pure Creatine Monohydrate and 4 scoops of ISS Gainer Matrix in 1% Milk( damn stuff is expensive)

30mins-1hr before bed - 3 Capsules of ISS ZMA

Any thoughts/Additions are more then welcome

I don't know what's in the ISS Gainer you're taking, but if it's hitting your wallet hard, I'd say go for some Cytogainer. As far as weight gainers go, it has more goodness in it than NLarge2, and it's definitely cheaper. Like 30 beans for a 5 lbs tub, and that's from Satan's stronghold itself, GNC.

Take teh post-workout shake with water. Casein in milk will slow absorption. Also, the general opinion here seems to be that creatine need only be taken post workout.

I'd recommend going with Cytogainer, then. It has tons of crap in it, including creatine and glutamine. For the price, you can't beat it either. It tastes pretty damn good, too. And as Nate said, scrap the pre-workout creatine.

You can get a 10lb bag of Optimum 100% whey for around $40. That will last you over 6 months. If you want a gainer, N-Large2, go to www.muscledepot.com They have 10lb tubs for $33 and very reasonable shipping.

BAH, what are you taking. A half-teaspoon a day?

10 lbs. Optimum last me 5 weeks max.

When you take creatine is irrelevant. It is a stored substance.

I suggest you look at your diet before you start tuning out your supplements. Nothing packs on the pounds like an 8oz steak (or tuna steak) with a side of a 6 oz chicken breast, 2 cups of milk, 2 cups of rice, 2 cups of brocoli, some corn on the cob and a chocolate mint.

Oh, and 2 more cups of milk to wash it down, sorry forgot that.

1 serving, post workout, each day. 156 servings or something in 1 bag. Correct me if Im wrong, but thats around 6 months. If you use 10lbs of it in 5 weeks, you probably want to find another protein source, not to mention it is 100% whey, try a blend.

May I suggest worrying about your diet?

Creatine, ZMA and a meal replacement ain't gonna do it if you don't have your diet figured out.

haha, 1/2 teaspoon a day... :-)

I would stick with N Large or optimum whey.... perhaps try just eating more real food as well... in general, it works better as far as I'm concerned...
