Found this on google but I will continue to look and see what else I can find. Good question as I have never really thought about it.

I've used MCT's in the past while low-carb dieting, and I felt a bit less crappy and had a little more energy for my workouts. Couldn't really tell if they sped up fat loss, but here's one abstract I pulled up in a quick search:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=11571605&dopt=Abstract

I've seen Lyle also mention that MCT's sped up metabolism by 5-10% in people doing keto diets (which I'm guessing is from the full text of the above study; dunno if there are more) Outside of that he doesn't think them particularly useful.

MCT oil does taste quite sh*tty, though.

Coconut oil tastes ok, in my opinion.

i never had any taste issues with MCT --i used it to cook my eggs and sometimes added to vegetables. i try as hard as possible to never ingest ANY oils strictly from the bottle --- that is something very unappetizing to me.

u can purchase MCT oil relatively cheap from www.lifeservices.com

MCTs are very useful for keto dieting

I never had any taste issues and i found taking them an hour or so before a workout gave me a nice energy boost
