I would probably eat some oats instead of Special K for meal 1, and you might want to think about getting some EFA's in your diet as well. Mixing your whey with milk would help slow absorbtion which would be beneficial when taking whey before bed.

I'd eat cottage cheese for protein before bed if you want a slower absorbing protein, or take casein protein instead of whey.

Tablespoon of whey? What's that, like 5 grams of protein before bed?

Bradley,
When you say oats instead of special K, what kind of oats ? I assume that you don't mean oatmeal. Thanks.

What about some whole wheat flakes of some sort? There are better cereals out there than corn flakes just make sure they don't have too much added sugar.
