What is the scientific reason for all of the water intake? Why do so many bodybuilders insist on 1 1/2 or 2 gallons a day?? What is it doing for me? Please talk me into wanting to drink that much water!

just drink it for **** sakes! hehe, well, to start, your body will hold less subq water if it has a constant input of water, making you look better, it flushes out your system, cleans your liver, kidneys, etc, keeps you hydrated (remember, most of your body is water, and when you're lifting big, you're sweating alot and what not) etc etc etc etc I also find that drinking alot of water makes my skin feel and look better, which has nothing to do with lifting, but is kinda relevant ;)

now go get a milk jug, drink the milk, fill it back with water, and drink that too! enjoy

oh, and welcome to the forums, you'll find that alot of people here have excellent info to share with ya!!
