is that 12 grams times body weight?

that calculation was for total daily calories, not protein !!!

a minimum is 1 gram of protein per lb of bw.
i more favor the higher amounts myself: 1.5 -2 * bw
but that is what i find I do better on.

I also find better results with 1.5 times bodyweight for protein intake.

lol

2,900 grams of protein a day might give me a slight case of bowel discomfort not to mention the complete and utter failure of 2/3 of my internal organs. :D

1gm/lb body weight is more than enough for muscle growth as long as you are consuming enough carbs & fat to provide energy.
