Alright, to be brieft, most pics didn't turn out so only a few poses (I'll try to get legs up soon, so don't ask!). Lighting sucks, and I was rushed while taking them, so poses look like crap.
I'm in the middle of a bulk (up from 140, started in the end of august). My original goal was 185, but I might continue past that once I get there.

Stats:
Age: 16
Time Lifting: 10 months correctly
Height: 5'7.5"
Weight:173lbs

Give me all the criticism you can think of, and don't be afraid to be mean :eek: .

Man that's bad lighting...lol. Lookin' bigger if you started out at 140. At 5'7" and 173#, you don't look as big as your weight indicates (JMO). Keep bulkin', you're doing good.

The first thing my step-brother said after he took the pictures was "you look a lot bigger in real life". But I assure you the stats are honest;)

tuttut You have much to learn, young Jedi.

Part of becoming an experienced bodybuilder is learning how to use lighting and shadows to make you appear "a lot bigger" on camera than real life.

At any rate, you're certainly looking solid. One word of advice= EAT! Eat, eat, eat. Or as Kimmy would say- Eaaaaaaattttttttt Beeeeeeeeeeeepppppppppp Blooooooooppppppppppp.

Sighs, no I am not hiding my legs. My 2 favorite lifts are squats and SLDL's. Hams are a tad behind, but like I said in the beginning, most of them didn't turn out.

You look better then I did after my first 10 months of working out. You're new to the iron game so the mass will come with time:)

Once you get*if you haven't already*your eating & training down pact.Try looking into buying some pure Creatine Monohydrate along with some Flax Seed Oil.EFA's are the best if you can get used to the taste:D

I'd love to be able to supplement like that, but as of now my wallet does not permit. I can't even afford whey right now. Will creatine really make that much of a difference? I thought initially you gain a lot of water weight, but after that the gains are fairly small, especially for the money.

And why the flax seed also? I thought it was just a good source of EFA's for diet that lacks them. Quality fats are really the easiest part of my diet to provide for, olive oil and natty PB MMmm MMmm.

You're 173?!! I'm exactly your height, and I'm finding it really, really, REALLY hard to believe you're 173.

Shoulders are looking great.

Oh by the way, I don't think theres enough 'reallys' in front of my 'hard to believe'.

WTF, why can't anyone believe I'm 173? I'm going to take a picture of me on the fricken scale. I'm certainitly not huge, nor even close to my genetic potential, but I'm not a tiny little toothpick. Perhaps it's the lighting or angles that makes so many unbelievers, but why, oh why the hell would I lie about my weight to a forum full of men on the internet?

Rastaman post a pic of yourself, I want to see why It's so unbelievable that I'm 173.

And also, what the heck weight do I look like? When people ask and I tell them in real life, nobody is suprised.

Well done on only 10 months worth of training. As has already been said, eat and you will grow. The lighting and poses make it look like you are very lean which may be why the comments about the weight for someone who is 5'7". However, IMO, you do have size and your delts, tri and chest are doing well. Just keep at it.

No offense man but I also agree with the others. There is no way that you are 173 at 5'7.5 from looking at those pictures. I am 6'0 and have a very similar build and 173 is about my weight. Not trying to take anything away from you, you have good definition and look like you have put in some hard work. Btw, I know Rastaman personally, he is thicker than you, the same height and less than 173.

I dunno...I'm just a couple inches taller at 185...roughly the same build. I can believe 173.

We're not hating on you Behemoth, but after seeing a ton of pics on here, you can gauge someone's size/weight fairly close by looking at pics. Yes they can make you look smaller or bigger depending on the lighting, but some people are just a little skeptical. Don't worry about it, only you know the truth, and you know how hard you're training and working, so keep up the good work, no matter how much you weigh!

Dont get me wrong, i was just being funny - or trying anyways. You look like you could be 173, i have no reason to believe otherwise. Regardless imo you should try to gain at the mo - lift hard.

Perhaps it is because the pictures make me look fairly lean. I'm caliptered at 15% and would have guessed I'm at 14 anyhow, so I don't think the measurment is far off. Perhaps some people think I'm leaner than I am from the pics.

Also, I just remeasured my height (which I haven't measured for about 2 months). And by doing it by myself with a old yardstick, I came up with about 5'8", so that's only a half an inch and I doubt that makes that much of a difference in weight anyhow.
But, like workhorse said I know what I am. So how about some criticism other than implying that I'm lieing. BTW thanks for the positive comments so far.

Behemoth, as I understand the comments thus far, not one person has stated or implied that you are lying. Some simply don't believe the weight that you list. A doubt and an accusation of deception are two very different things.

I think most of the criticism regarding your progress has been stated already. Your shoulders look really good in the first pic and seem to be a strong point overall. If I was in your shoes I would go on a bulk as opposed to a cut right now. Good luck with it.

Like Orbital said, don't take my comments personally. I'm the same height as you, and you don't look 173 to me. I don't know whether you are 173 or not, maybe you have some really big legs, or maybe it was the lighting, I was just stating my thoughts. I would suggest a bulk and that you hit your back hard.

Awww... everybody kissed and made up! :) It's nice to see that this forum can actually attract people under the age of 18 that can communcate and reason with others. Other forums just have a bunch of cuss words and flames, regardless of age.

Have you noticed any bodyfat increases since starting your bulk? It appears to me that you could afford to up the calories by around 500 more per day and benefit from it. Also, what's your protein intake?

Yeah, much BF increase. I was probably about 10 when I started, now I'm at about 15%. I guess that's not that bad. I'm currently eating about 3000-3500 cals a day, but have begun to become somewhat stagnate. So I think I might need to up the cals )=. protein intake is around 150g, probably less than it should be, it's just so hard to get it around here. But what am I saying, I'm lazy lets go for 3500-4000 and 200g protein!

I was referring to the likes of Behemoth, Wizard, BCC... there are others too.

DEFFINATLY up your protein. 150 is considerably below 1g/lb bodyweight. I'd aim for 250 if you can... it's certainly doable with regular food. Why is it hard for you to get 'around here?' Parents? Offer to go shopping with them or something if that's the case.

Yes, nobody in my house eats any freaking protein. I tell my mom to get stuff, and I'm sure I can make do. I just have to massive amounts of all the venison I shoot! (=
